The Regina - A Truly Royal Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 13 hours ago

A consistently reliable experience with excellent service, a wonderfully French decor, relaxing bar, and attentive staff. This is a very good quality hotel. Highly recommended. We have stayed at the Regina a few times and the service is sharper and more attentive each time. Also, a good location in Paris - easy to get to everywhere.

The rooms were clean. Ceilings are super high . Gives a geand feeling. Hotel is central .but Most importantly the personal touch given by the staff was icing on the cake . From my reservation details they knew my birthday had just passed within the week.. so left me a sweet bday note .

One of the most iconic, beautiful hotel with incredible service. I have been coming to this hotel for the past 6 years or so.

Staff is great with the exception of manager - avoid on June 21st any year.

Stayed over 5 nights in a Junior Suite with a view of the Eiffel Tower, or that was what we paid for. We arrived and had a Ferris wheel being erected right in front of the window so instead of nice view you are looking at a county fair from the USA. Next up was our stay that included June 21st which is the Fête de la Musique, a music festival held every year on this day. The hotel was blocked off from any means to get a taxi or even subway (closed the stations near hotel) and to walk you had to go 3KM out of your way. Stage is right next to the hotel so plan on "enjoying" the music in your 5 star hotel for two nights late. The next morning our outside welcome included vomit, broken glass and enough garbage that it was still being cleaned two days when we departed. I guess we should have counted our blessings as we pushed our way through the mob to get back to the hotel because the news reports said that over 150 people reported being stuck with syringes during the event. Apparently the police walking around with automatic weapons didn't mind that offense. Would suggest Paris re-think this event, not the best foot forward. Hotel manager said it was not his problem. Yes we charged you $1800 a night for the suite with a view that didn't give the view promised but as they wrote in their email, they didn't put the Ferris wheel up so too bad. As for the music and hotel being blocked again the manager said it wasn't his problem. They didn't know everything would be blocked and they didn't cause the nightmare of vomit and garbage the next day so too bad for us. Might be a 5 star in early June (I'd say more like a 4) but its 1 star while this music event goes on. I'd avoid if you do not want to be across the street from a county fair (think it ends sometime in the fall) and certainly avoid at all cost if staying over their Fête de la Musique with this hotel being right in the middle of the mess. Frankly I'd avoid Paris on June 21st and a few days afterwards because of this event.

A wonderful time in Paris

Hotel is beautiful. The people couldn’t be nicer and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Concierge was always there too with a good recommendation. The hotel is centrally located to many walking areas. It was very clean and staff was always going above and beyond.

We had a wonderful time at the Regina. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, all items included in our package arrived promptly. The hotel is very well geared to the Luxury Link auction features and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
