We stayed at the Chateaux with our 3 kids and it was perfect. The rooms are nice and layout perfect for a family of 5. Great kitchen. The staff was friendly and can do. The shuttle is great and concierge fantastic at helping with all requests. The grocery stocking service is worth it. The location in Silver Lake is second to none. We didn’t lift a finger and focused on skiing and family time. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We were disappointed by our visit to the Chateaux. We dropped a lot of money on this visit and didn't feel that the visit lived up to the hype. The property is large, and if you are staying in the "new part" like we were, you get from there to the lobby, spa, and fitness center via the parking garage! This does not leave the best impression. The rooms were also small for the money, and we needed a Nav system to find the room through the snaky hallway. The hotel advertises that they will drive you anywhere you need to go, but that's not really true. There is only one bellman, and he is not available when you need your ride. You have to ask the front desk whenever you need ice. The boot room, where you store your ski's, has only air for your boots, not heat. The restaurant, Cena, was fine for the free breakfast but not for dinner. In short, we did not get what we paid for.

I called and booked my stay directly with the Chateaux. I was told the room was just as nice and even bigger than the Stein Eriksen Lodge. I was also told the restaurant and the amenities are just as nice. This was all completely untrue! The room was old and small. There is a toilet next to a dirty, old bathtub. This is not a 4.0 star hotel bathroom to say the least. The pillows are cheap and uncomfortable. There was construction and snowplow noise all hours of the night. It started at 2am and never stopped!! The restaurant was horrible, we did not even eat the free breakfast. The amenities are sparse at best. If you are planning a trip to Deer Valley spend a bit extra for other lodging. I will say the staff is incredibly nice. Unfortunately it was not enough to compensate for the dreary, noise polluted, and overpriced accommodations. I suggest management (and the girl who advised me) stay in room 312 for five days, eat at Cena everyday and deduct the cost of all this from your paycheck. Let me know how that goes.... This was our only vacation this year. I do not want an apology or a credit towards a future stay. I will NOT be back to your hotel. I want a refund on my ill-informed accommodations.

It's nice, but it misses the mark as a true luxury resort in my opinion. The room was nice, but the pool was small and the staff was aloof to say the least. We also found the in house bar and restaurant to be disappointing. There are several options around Chateaux Deer Valley and I encourage all travelers to check out the various other lodges before clicking book here.

From Tyler Landers at the Stein to Ryann and TJ at the Chateaux, my trip was extraordinary. I was well take care off at every turn...from the ski valet to the housekeeping staff to the in-house restaurant. What Cena lacks in atmosphere, they make up with a terrific pizza and Caesar salad! Run don’t walk...for a stay at the Chateaux.
