Today is our last day and we have been here for a week for our honeymoon in a one bedroom condo with 1 1/2 baths - Room 499 with 180 degree view due to location overlooking several mountain ranges. The staff have been beyond nice and helpful. We got a call one day asking what else they could do to make our stay even better. Wow, we could not think of one thing. I do not understand some of the reviews that were not always complimentary. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Different type of pancakes ie whole wheat or blueberry. This morning was french toast. So many things to choose from, never boring. We could not ask for anything more that they did not offer. Willing to accommodate any request! The SkiNSee Shop was over the top in being so willing to assist us in anyway in all aspects. This has not only been a great honeymoon but we will be back to Deer Valley and The Chateaux. Also the Cena Restaurant for drinks and dinner was one of the best restaurants in the area and we ate all of them.

The staff could not be more accommodating. We arrived early, almost 8 am, before the ski day. They put us into our room right away, and gave us a late check-out after the ski day. Staff is very nice, helpful, and the shuttle service to park city is a great feature--will pick you up anytime requested. The rooms are very nice, great bed, and the location is very convenient to the ski lifts. All around very pleasant and easy stay. Zero complaints.

I really enjoyed my two night stay here. It's just a short walk to the lifts so not quite a ski in ski out but so close it's not an issue. The restaurant Cena had nice food and the complimentary breakfast was delicious and much appreciated. They provide a complimentary shuttle to and from main street, and service throughout the property (ski valets, bar, restaurant, housekeeping, front desk) was great. I didn't use the kitchen amenities in the sink area (mini fridge, microwave, toaster) but they were a nice touch. The initial room I had was beautiful but unfortunately when i returned after dinner the family in the connecting room was so loud i could hear their conversations as if they were in the same room. Plus they were yelling. It was obvious my "king" room was part of a larger number of rooms. I immediately called the front desk and was moved to another room that was similarly laid out but no connecting door so much quieter. My only complaint is they really need to do something to soundproof connecting doors when renting out portions of adjoining condos.

The hotel was nice, however, needs to be updated a bit for the price. Staff was friendly in the hotel. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room, however, a magnify mirror should be on hand. They did accommodate and find one for me. Beds were comfortable, rooms very small, we could not really fit a cot for our son in the room. One draw back, you had to walk a good distance and outside to get from your hotel room to the dining room to have breakfast and grab a cup of coffee. The ski shop employees in the hotel where you rent the skis and boots were rude and obnoxious. We ordered skis and boots before we arrived, and they had only junk left after we checked in at 8;15 pm. They should have had the skis and boots we ordered. We then needed to find a place to rent our skis.

This is my second stay at The Chateaux, located next to the Silver Lake lift area. The convenience to the ski lifts, the reasonable (for Deer Valley) price and the previous service brought us back for a romantic weekend with my wife. I would have given 5 stars but for 1) similar issue that Andrew below reviewed. We were put in the "phase 2" part of the hotel, which forces you to trek through a dark, wet garage to get to the main part of the hotel. My wife did NOT like this and when we asked to be moved, they accommodated us with no problem...thank you! 2) Our room was not serviced one day even after asking to front desk to do so. For what we paid, service is kind of a given, no? When we mentioned this at check-out, we were comped a resort fee...thank you again. Both issues no big deal, but not what you expect from a luxury ski resort. On the other hand, location was perfect, the ski rental staff was great and helpful and the overall feel of the place was relaxing and European in it's casual elegance. The bed was one of the best I have ever sleeped in. Most of all, service from the staff was excellent! The guys behind the bar (Jakob especially) were engaging and efficient and the staff in the restaurant were always polite, smiling and eager to serve. I'll be back and hope that the few glitches do not happen.
