This was our fourth year celebrating our anniversary at The Chateaux Deer Valley. It was beautiful, quiet and romantic. The last two years we sat in the hot tub as the spring snow came down on this romantic quiet mountain setting. The staff has always been top notch. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Four years, four overnight stays, we keep coming back--That explains a lot. Thank you to all of you at The Chateaux for continuing to create great memories for my wife and me. We can recommend you and the Chateaux without reservation.

Had a really nice stay at the Chateaux Deer Valley. Rooms were interesting. Ours had a kitchenette, while a coworker had a room with a full kitchen and a Murphy Bed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice, and overall very clean. Our one complaint was that we were there off season and were not aware that the bar and restaurant were both closed during our stay.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed here. We were looking forward to our trip and the hotel had sent us emails reminding us of their spa services and dining options and encouraging us to explore Park City. When we arrived we discovered that almost everything was closed. Even in town, many things were closed for at least a two week period of time. The only feature open at the hotel was the outdoor pool and hot tub, but there were no towels - even though we called ahead of time to ask if there were towels. The hot tub area also had a good amount of debris, I am assuming from the surrounding trees, as well as abandoned dirty coffee mugs. As we were leaving we saw a sign that there was a fitness room that was open, but I did not actually see it. The photos on the website were gorgeous and we booked a one bedroom king suite. The room did not look like the photos. It was large and had two gas fireplaces which were a nice feature, but the furniture was dated and the table had definitely suffered from years of use. There was a plug of some kind that we kept tripping over because it was under a carpet connected to a table lamp in front of the couch. The WiFi signal was good, but I am sure that was helped by the fact that the hotel had almost no one staying on the property. We woke up and went to get breakfast only to discover that we had to head into town to find food and even then the options were limited because many places were closed for a spring break. Upon checkout we expressed our disappointment especially around all the dining options being closed and we were curtly asked - why didn't you go into town? When we told them about the pool towels and how we called to confirm that they had towels there but in reality there were none, the paraphrased response was - that the hotel is empty and they don't always put them out but we should have called - even though we had already told them we called once. When we arrived there was a beautiful outdoor firepit that ended up being turned off and never came on again during our weekend stay. We questioned it and again the response was along the lines that the hotel is empty and we could call to turn things on. Where it was on when we arrived we figured it would come back on. I wish the front desk at check in would have warned us that things were closed and we had to call for anything. Not only did they not warn us about having to call, when we asked if there were any possible upgrades upon arrival we were told that there were no upgrades available because the hotel was at 93% capacity. Upon check out it was confirmed that they were not at 93% capacity and that the person was in training and probably gave us incorrect information. Even though he told us that he got that information from a manager. It was very obvious that the hotel was empty so the 93% was laughable. The only reason that we even asked for an upgrade was because the woman who took our reservation suggested that we ask because we were celebrating a birthday. Ultimately, the hotel did reimburse us the resort fee, but the hotel did not feel like a resort with everything being closed so I would have been upset about being charged a resort fee anyway. We might not have minded as much if the room wasn't as pricey as it was and if we were warned ahead of time that everything was going to be closed. However, given our expectations and the way that it was advertised we definitely left disappointed and frustrated. I have to say that the views of the mountains from the hotel are gorgeous and I am sure during ski season that it is a convenient location to stay, but there are lots of resort options in the area.

As I was checking in to The Chateaux, up in cozy and beautiful Deer Valley, the front desk staff noticed that my reservation was down as starting the prior night. I had called to change it and received an email confirmation, but this was not in their computer. As I entered the room, the front desk called to say they had called reservations and corrected my reservation. The interior is beautiful, from the mountain tones and tile, wood beams and art, to the open design of the atrium. The room is gorgeous, burnished wood dining table and chairs, several books to ride out a blizzard, to the rustic doors and two fireplaces. Just a short walk to the nearest lift. Strongly recommend!

Today is our last day and we have been here for a week for our honeymoon in a one bedroom condo with 1 1/2 baths - Room 499 with 180 degree view due to location overlooking several mountain ranges. The staff have been beyond nice and helpful. We got a call one day asking what else they could do to make our stay even better. Wow, we could not think of one thing. I do not understand some of the reviews that were not always complimentary. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Different type of pancakes ie whole wheat or blueberry. This morning was french toast. So many things to choose from, never boring. We could not ask for anything more that they did not offer. Willing to accommodate any request! The SkiNSee Shop was over the top in being so willing to assist us in anyway in all aspects. This has not only been a great honeymoon but we will be back to Deer Valley and The Chateaux. Also the Cena Restaurant for drinks and dinner was one of the best restaurants in the area and we ate all of them.
