Reviews for Hyatt Centric Park City

Great value to stay in large apartments!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 14 hours ago

I used to live in Park City and return frequently for visits. I have stayed in several hotels in the area. This was my first time at the Hyatt Centric. I was pretty amazed at the size of the room - I booked the premium one bedroom residence and was in shock how much space we had. It was great for my daughter to run around. I loved having all 3 fireplaces on! The full kitchen was amazing, we brought a ton of food from home and were able to keep to our diet and avoid eating out. I appreciated the steam room and sauna accessible from the gym. Pool and giant hot tubs were great! One of the few hotels near the mountains that were not closed or half closed for the shoulder season (pools still open!). There was less service regarding housekeeping when we asked to make the sofa bed, we were told to look around for linens and do it ourselves. I would expect more service at these prices. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for any family or larger party looking for an apartment-like set up with the convenience of hotel amentities.

Not a place once it used to be

I have been visiting the Hyatt Centric Park City for the past 7-8 years, back when it was a Hyatt category 3 hotel. Now, it has been upgraded to a cat 8, the highest level in the Hyatt portfolio. However, in comparison to other cat 8 hotels such as Park Hyatt Beaver Creek and Park Hyatt Vendome, the overall service quality at Hyatt Centric Park City falls significantly short, spanning from the front desk to the restaurant staff. Unlike previous years, even with my Globalist status, I did not feel welcomed by the staff except for the valet staff. Not only was there a lack of friendliness, but also competency issues arose. I was given incorrect information by a front desk staff member at the time of reservation, and they initially refused to rectify the error. Moreover, although I booked a large residence, it felt smaller than the previous large residence I stayed in. When I raised this concern with the front desk, they merely stated that rooms vary in size without investigating my previous stay details. Furthermore, despite the possibility of different sizes for large residences, I was not offered a larger room based on my status and the hotel's low occupancy rate. Additionally, the restaurant staff missed several details during all three days of my dining experiences. For instance, when my table requested strawberry jam, raspberry jam was brought instead, and when we asked for blueberry jam, blackberry jam was brought. It took three requests and over 15 minutes to receive hot sauce, and a dish that was supposed to have cheese removed arrived with cheese still on it. Multiple issues persisted for all 3 days despite the restaurant having only 1-2 occupied tables. Regarding the late check-out policy, it's concerning that they refuse to consider it until the morning of the last day. In my experience at other Hyatt resort hotels, late check-out confirmation was provided no later than the night preceding the checkout. This policy made it challenging to plan the last day effectively. Given the low occupancy rate at the hotel during my stay, such flexibility in late check-out arrangements would greatly enhance the guest experience. It's regrettable to see a decline in quality at a place that was once one of my family's favorites. It's disheartening to note the significant decline in quality, particularly considering the personalized service they once provided, such as setting up a humidifier ahead of my arrival based on my previous stay preferences.

Very satisfying ski trip

Hyatt is amazing, I love the ski in ski out part. So close to canyon village. Room is big and clean, bed is soft, hot tub is amazing, as well as sauna. Great experience in dining, particularly love the happy hour and hot chocolate.

5-star 5-star resort with best possible ski-in/ski-out location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed at Hyatt Centric Park City to ski. Location was incredible- step outside the ski-valet area and you could slide down to the lift and actually ski back inside the hotel if so inclined. Staff was very customer focused, especially Michela at front desk, the crew in ski valet, and staff in restaurant. Rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. This place is above and beyond for a ski vacation and highly recommended. The only drawback is the Utah alcohol rules which limit carrying drinks while strolling outside of bar.

Beautiful resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This was a beautiful and fun resort with plenty to do. The two hot tubs and swimming pool were clean and in great condition. The pool was warm and swimmable even in March. It was truly a ski in- ski out resort; however, it was more so for blue slopes instead of green. The one bedroom suite we stayed in was extremely spacious. The hotel restaurant was delicious. It was our first time staying at a Hyatt property, but we will definitely be back!
