This was an above-and-beyond act of kindness. My husband and I live in Park City half the year and know how special it is. The valets at the Montage really showed us how special the people are and why it is a magnet for so many. On April 12, 2024 we had to euthanize our beloved dog due to a brain tumor. He was (to us) the most special little rescue and traveled the world like a champ. We were quite distraught afterward so my husband drove us to the Montage to drink champagne for our little man. We were visibly upset with tears streaming down our faces when the valets came to take our car. We told them thru tears what we were doing. Upon our return to the car they had put a stuffed dog "Murphy" on the steering wheel with the sweetest note expressing their sadness for us. We were truly touched and the tears of course came back with a vengeance. We will never forget them. Lisa and Paul. Look them up when you arrive at the Montage. They will surely make your day!!! Their names appear next to compassion in the dictionary.

If you value ski-in ski-out and like the high end ski crowd, this is an excellent choice. The crowd feels a bit "newer" than what you'd find at the Stein Eriksen Lodge. The facilities are different in terms of design, etc., but have the same basic amenities. If you're here on season, I recommend making reservations if you plan to eat on property. The lounge is lively as you might expect for drinks. There is also an expensive but fun chocolate fondue desert they offer in the bar. The price of the hotel is steep during the season - you're paying for high end plus ski-in ski out. Having visited this, the Stein Eriksen, etc., I'm not sure there is *that* much difference between them. If they or the St Regis is running a few hundred more on any particular night, I'm not sure it's anything more than supply / demand based on preference. The valets service was prompt and friendly.

We had high expectations for this trip as it was a rewards trip thru work. The Montage blew away all expectations as we enjoyed a truly unforgettable getaway. From the doormen to the ski valets, the entire crew could not have been more helpful and friendly.

This is my second trip to the Montage Deer Valley, and the building is beautifully designed with large common spaces and high end materials. Its location at mid-mountain near to a number of lifts makes it a great ski-in ski-out destination. But this trip I have had a number of service issues, from housekeeping not replacing dirty glasses in my room, long lines to get into breakfast because there is not enough personnel at the breakfast restaurant at peak times and poor service at lunch. Everyone apologises whenever we complain, but it is clear that this is no longer the top hotel it used to be. I can only assume that there has been a change in senior management, and they can no longer provide consistently great service to the large number of guests the hotel accommodates. Deer Valley itself is a great ski resort and is growing significantly next year with new lifts and new ski runs. But there is also now a larger choice of luxury hotels, with more on the way. I would think twice before booking the Montage again.

Location is wonderful and great for skiing. However management is substandard for a this type of resort. Food and beverage experience was below par Resort and rooms need renovations Billing errors-wrong charges . Staff need lot more training
