We just got back from our honeymoon and spent 4 nights at the Yria Resort. We spent the first half of our trip in Santorini so Paros was an exciting departure. The island has a ton of beautiful beaches and cute little villages. We stayed at Yria which is one of the few "resorts" on the island. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were newly renovated from what I could tell and it was located in a perfect location - close to a great beach in walking distance - and close to Parikia, the capital of the island and the center of town. You'll probably want to rent a car if you want to get around the island which is exactly what we did. You could have stayed at the resort and spent your days at the beach or at the huge pool and sipped drinks. The breakfast in the morning was really good and the bar had a great selection. I'm afraid to write too great of a review of Paros because I don't want it to get overrun with US tourists!! :o)

We had a very relaxing week at Yria. The hotel is charming and nicely decorated although the room's interiors are quite simply arranged. The staff is indeed very nice, helpful and will care for any of your expressed needs. The pool area is lovely. It is nice to retreat there from the nearby and somewhat crowded beach. Beware that connections with Parikia, the nearby town, are scarce. A rental car is necessary if you want to frequently get there, as even the few taxis on the island are very busy We have enjoyed our stay and will come back

From the moment you set foot on this oasis of Luxurious Greek Hospitality you are seated pool side on a relaxing lanai couch while a group of Yria employees show you how all other luxury hotels aspire to greet guests. Luggage melts from your hands and is replaced with a cold welcome beverage. Actually we don't drink alcohol...not a problem a delicious welcoming mock-tail magically replaces the cocktail. We LOVED everything about our stay here! The room was perfect, the breakfast were amazing, the pool was beyond postcard worthy and the short walk to the beach was something to look forward to a few times a day. We ended up venturing out to a restaurant on Paros beach that we liked so much we ate there for almost every lunch and dinner. We did however try dinner at the hotel one night and went back to enjoying the food at the beach. My wife and I liked Yria better than any other hotel on our Honeymoon and we hope to return some day! (We stayed here 7 years ago but Trip Advisor does not go back that far to date it)

This hotel is really beautifully kept. The pool is gorgeous, the staff are attentive and extremely kind and the breakfast is fabulous. The room/s were clean with lovely spacious bathrooms and there were lots of areas where you could lounge in shade or sun as required. Our children loved it, and we found it to be really relaxing. One 'slight' issue we had was the 5 euros for a litre of water. Even at the Grande Bretagne in Athens we had complimentary water, and indeed in many other hotels with lower price tag. The kids got through lots and without transport to get to the local shops, it cost a small fortune for the time we were there. I think in the height of summer a couple of bottles of free water would be a good idea. Our second night was spoiled by the most atrocious fight between other guests - we were a little surprised that despite having a sleepless night and this violent fight waking and frightening both of our children, the hotel did not make any offer of a complimentary drink or even an icecream for the kids (one scoop of vanilla after our evening meal cost 10 euros!) If they had been able to raise their game with these little touches, we would have rated it excellent.
