This was a mixed experience. I will try to share some of the positives and discuss some areas that clearly need improvement. The positives - The resort and location are both beautiful. The grounds are immaculate, the hallways very nice, and the location is in a beautiful residential area. The room was large and comfortable for a family trip. We had ample room for luggage. Although expensive, the restaurant and bar were very nice and servers were pleasant. Some things in need of improvement - This hotel is a wedding mill on the weekends. It caters to loud weddings, guests that consume the entire public facilities, and prevent actual, paying guests from using the services of the hotel. For 2 nights in a row, there were 2 weddings each day. My windows in the room literally rattled from techno music. Drunk people stumbling through the hallways. We ended up leaving to eat because of this. Even my kids were upset. When returning at 12am, the music and party were still going on. There were dirty cups, glasses, and vomit in the public areas. The restrooms were filthy. We had to blast a sound machine just to try to drown out some of the sound. This could have been a result of where our room was located but, again, at this price-point, not acceptable. The valet is absolutely awful. Could not get my vehicle despite texting down 30 minutes in advance. With so many wedding guests coming and going, we were told there were over 700 cars to park. Guests should be informed that texting to get your vehicle does nothing. Also, not told you need the actual valet ticket to get the car. Ended up taking over an hour making us miss our reservations with family friends. Completely unacceptable. Very rude staff. Even though I texted, we never received a call from the hotel manager, never received anything to acknowledge how guests are treated was not proper. We did receive a credit, which I appreciate and certainly did not expect. This was nice but sometimes a simple call from the hotel manager would be even better than a credit. Just a nice chat. As for the weddings, two separate staff members agreed with me that you cannot stay at the hotel when there is a wedding and we should have called in advance to see if there was going to be one. I dont feel this should be a guest responsibility. Those same staff members (who I will leave unnamed as they were wonderful) also stated that management at this hotel has been there too long, does not care, and is too comfortable in their roles. This is clearly true from my experience. An overhaul is in order. In short, stay somewhere else unless attending a wedding at the hotel. I hope management gets replaced here as the hotel clearly has incredible potential as a beautiful 5* hotel.

The Royce Pool leaves something to be desired. Feels like you’re at a Hilton not a Langham hotel. Lacks sophistication, always low on towels, the poolside menu was minimal and the food was terrible.

We stayed at the Langham Huntington for a weekend trip while we were in town for a concert at the Rose Bowl. We’ve stayed at multiple Langham properties around the world but it was our first time at the resort and we were very pleasantly surprised. Some of the reviews had made me a little wary but it truly exceeded all expectations! Tiffany Mirander (the guest service manager) was INCREDIBLE - we were traveling with our 4-month old baby and she helped secure us the perfect room setup for our stay (including very generously upgrading us to a larger room which was so helpful to have the extra space). Tiffany made our stay exceptional and we are so grateful for her help. The front desk staff and bellmen were also so friendly during our trip. PROS: Property is large with sprawling grounds which created lots of places to spread out and explore. Never felt overcrowded. The two pools were very nice and both kid friendly, and the food at the pool was delicious. Hotel is in a great location with lots of beautiful neighborhoods surrounding that made for lovely morning walks. Good proximity to Old Town Pasadena which was great to go to for dinners. Rooms are large and clean. Overall it was a perfect property for a weekend trip! CONS: I hate even writing any because we genuinely were SO happy with our stay! The service at the Lanai Pool was a little slow on Saturday (they only had ~2-3 waiters at a time despite the pool being completely full). There were a few elevators that were broken which was a bit of a hassle (especially because we had a stroller). The courtyard off the lobby was beautiful — we felt like it would’ve been so nice if they had a little cafe or even coffee bar out there to make better use of that space. There wasn’t really a great morning cafe for an easy coffee/smoothie or grab and go food. We were also surprised that there wasn’t any turndown service. Overall though — these are all very small things and the pros far outweighed the cons! ROOM TIPS: Recommend paying more for the superior rooms that were more recently updated and if possible ask for a view overlooking the gardens. We were in room 644 and 642 and loved them! Overall - we will absolutely be coming back!!! This hotel made for a perfect weekend trip with our family. The staff was incredible (Tiffany in particular!)

I came here for a family wedding and staying here was extremely stressful. When we checked in at 10:30 pm we were told that they were overbooked and gave away our room. We had called earlier in the day to let them know about our late arrival but they still didn’t hold our room for us. We were told they would charge us for a standard room that night (we booked a suite and were placed in a too small room for our family of 4…we literally had no room to walk in) and they would move us into the room we booked sometime the following day. What kind of resolution is this? The hotel is basically falling apart (various bathrooms, elevators, etc. To be honest I have never seen so many out of order signs in my life). They also were not transparent about many things and kept overcharging us. For example, we hired a sitter at $45 per hour but were never informed about the $45 booking fee. Then, at the wedding there was no air conditioning and subpar service (we stood in lines for everything and when ordering water at the bar were told to help ourselves from a jug of ice water). I would never stay at this hotel again or recommend it to anyone else. I would have left if I wasn’t there for a wedding.
