The Langham Huntington holds such rich memories for our families over the years and from the minute we approach its beautiful entrance, we’re reminded of the peace and classic elegance on display throughout the grounds. During two recent stays, we again enjoyed the high standards of hospitality and comfort extended by the entire staff in the Tap Room, the Terrace Restaurant, the gift shop, and also housekeeping. We especially noted the exceptional attention we received from Catherine, Laura and Anna at the front desk. They each went above and beyond expectations in their responses to our needs and we wanted to express our gratitude.

We recently stayed at this highly rated hotel, expecting a seamless luxury experience to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, the overall visit left much to be desired. While the accommodations themselves were comfortable and the dinner service team did their best to accommodate us, the rest of the experience fell far below expectations for a property of this caliber. We had reserved a cabana for the day, but it took over 45 minutes just to receive our first round of drinks—and nearly an hour for food to arrive. When someone in our group requested mayonnaise, the server informed us it would take at least 20 minutes to get it, which felt like an oddly specific and unaccommodating response. Dinner became a production in itself. Though the indoor dining room was completely empty, it required approval from the manager—and a long wait—to be seated outdoors. The staff eventually made it work, but the process felt unnecessarily difficult. Later, we stopped by the bar, which was supposed to be open, only to find it had closed early. Ordering a drink became another ordeal, despite being within the posted hours of operation. We came to relax and celebrate, but the lackluster service (with the exception of dinner), slow pace, and inconsistent hospitality made the entire experience feel like a letdown. Drinks were mediocre, the food was unremarkable, and the energy of the place lacked warmth or attentiveness. Overall, this hotel felt more like a wet blanket than a luxurious retreat. For the premium price point, we expected far more. I wouldn’t return or recommend it—there are simply better options for both service and atmosphere elsewhere.

It's a beautiful hotel that has stood the test of time. It was an enjoyable place to spend my birthday. A great place to stay if you like architecture, gardens and history. I recommend taking a walk in the neighborhood and looking at all the neighboring historic mansions - and visiting Huntington Gardens. I would definitely go back!

Most areas of the hotel smells like mold. We were very disappointed that we had to leave immediately because many of our family members have asthma.

The hotel has rich history and is a beautiful setting for a family get together. The staff is very friendly, lovely luxury touches and excited about the room renovations. The pool vibe was fun and there lots of friendly guests.
