When you're paying $650/night you expect tea in your room, a tea kettle (ideally) and real milk or half and half. You expect body lotion to be part of the toiletries. A magnifying mirror would have been nice. You expect the grooves around the edge of the Terrace tables to be vacuumed of their crumbs and other food debris.

The hotel is beautiful and we would have otherwise enjoyed our stay if not for the valet team. They advertise a free car service within three miles of the hotel, but what they don’t tell you is that they will make you wait 40 minutes for it and then tell you it is cancelled. My time was disrespected without so much as an apology. For the price you pay for this hotel, I expect better service. I will not be returning to this hotel.

Very disappointed with this stay having been to Langham properties around the world. We stayed in one of the cottages and the room was dilapidated, dull, and dated and had an old musty smell permeating through the vents. The room itself was poorly finished, with aged and spartan furnishings, cracks in the bathtub, and stains on the carpeting. The air conditioner did not work, and in hotter days we felt super warm in the daytime, and then super cold at night. Finally, as others have shared, the maid service itself was very mixed - morning service still left cleaning spots in the bathroom, and on one day just left one toilet roll for two bathrooms! Beyond that, the pool service was very inconsistent. You can get great service at times (thanks Matthias) but really poor service most of the time, with a lack of towels and clean-up afterwards. Lots of small babies in the Royce pool and loud children in the main pool - it's not a luxury experience at all and I would not recommend this if you want any tranquility or peaceful moments on vacation. On a more positive note - the breakfast is quite good with a weekday menu full of great Mexican breakfast items and the chips and guacamole offered at one of the pools is wonderful. Just note that on the weekend, the menu changes at the Royce pool and that 18 dollar chips and salsa is literally a snack size offering. Overall, a real disappointment and our party booked four rooms. I would not recommend this to anybody expecting a luxury resort experience - feels more Westin or Marriott like - and alternatives exist with greater access and better rooms in the LA area.

An oasis escape. We throughly enjoyed our experience and plan to return next year! The property is beautiful, bountiful and understated - but very luxurious!

The Langham Pasenda is nestled within greenery and has very nice gardens. It is very dog friendly, and the staff are nice. It just a little bit of refreshing, the hallways are dark and need the newer/better towels. I the breakfast presentations need work.
