Great Place to Stay!

Fantastic staff, grounds and even rooms. Chef is very talented as well. I even left some things in a drawer after checkout. They have already found it and shipped it to my home! Great staff here!

5 Star Stay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Wonderful 5 star hotel with welcoming & friendly staff that VERY quickly addressed a couple room issues. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and well appointed with guest safe, mini fridge, Keurig Coffee Maker (found in the bureau drawer), and Bose radio. Very good lighting at the desk & bedside table. Bathroom supplies robes and generous bath/shower/body lotion amenities. NOTE: bath floor extremely slippery after shower, use bath sheet as a rug after! NOTE: Make a point to walk the Hotel's bridge along the 2nd floor above the pool area and note the many murals located above on the roof supports.

Home away from Home!

I have been staying at the Langham for over 33 years. The property is historic and set in beautiful Pasadena near the fabulous Huntington Gardens. The Langham property is gorgeous and the hotel is a landmark classic. But the people at the hotel are terrific! I highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel but sub-par service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel is beautiful and in a lovely area. I booked a three-night stay hoping for a relaxing solo trip. However, the check in experience left much to be desired. I have stayed many times at the Langham's original location in London and have had nothing but lovely experiences there. This is a 5 star hotel and priced accordingly. My check in experience started hours prior to check in. I was put on hold multiple times for 10+ minutes and disconnected twice. When I was finally able to speak to someone to ask if I could check in about 1.5 hours early, they told me that it would be possible and that my room was ready for me. When I showed up to the hotel, this was contradicted. I was told that I would have to wait at one of the bars until check-in and that what I was told was incorrect. So I went down to the pool bar and got a drink. I went back up to the front desk at 3pm and they gave me keys to my room. I went to my room only to find that it was quite hot inside. I was unable to turn the AC system on. I called the front desk and they sent someone from maintenance to my room. When he tried to call the front desk to tell them that I needed a new room (the AC was indeed broken), he also had great difficulty getting anyone to pick up the phone while I sat in my room, alone, with a random man (he was very nice but as a woman staying alone this was not very comfortable for me). Once he finally got ahold of someone, he kindly escorted me to the next room and verified that the AC was working. However, I was not happy with my new room assignment. It was a significantly smaller room and my "garden view" that I was so looking foward to (and was present in the first room) was now windows that were mostly blocked by a large tree that completely obstructed the view. I called the front desk to ask for a new room, and a staff member was sent to my room with new keys to a new room. I expected that this person would escort me to the new room to verify it was okay, but instead he simply handed me the keys and walked off. At this point, I was very frustrated. I had spent more than an hour at this point checking in. I walked up to my new room only to discover that the keys I was given did not work! I had to go back to the front desk to get new keys. Overall, this was extremely frustrating and not a level of service that I would expect from a hotel like the Langham. I would not stay at the Langham ever again because of this service
