Reviews for Pan Pacific Perth

Comfy staycay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

I had originally booked a Premier River View Room and was very grateful to receive an upgrade to a Pacific Club River View Suite, thanks to my GHA Discovery status. The more generous space and access to the Club Floor added a touch of luxury that made celebrating my milestone birthday even more special. A discounted parking fee of A$25, instead of the usual A$40, along with thoughtful welcome gifts—a bottle of bubbly, a chocolate platter, macarons, and even a welcome drink voucher elevated the experience and made it truly memorable. Special thanks to Rohan, who played a key role in making this magical experience happen. Being pampered and waited upon by the attentive staff on the Club Floor made for a wonderfully relaxing stay. Dinner at Uma, the on-site restaurant, was especially enjoyable providing the perfect balm and escape from the daily grind with its warm atmosphere and excellent service. Our suite was located on the 15th floor. Thankfully, we experienced no noise from any wedding or party guests, although I could hear muffled conversations from other guests in the hallway during the morning, as they made their way to breakfast. This aligns with feedback from other reviewers about the thinness of the walls. That said, our suite appeared to have undergone recent renovations, which certainly enhanced the overall quality of the stay. The experience felt cozy, comforting, and homely like being in a well-loved home that had received a thoughtful facelift. However, as with any older structure, some aspects remained traditional. Lighting controls, power outlets, and even the curtains still relied on manual operation rather than modern automation. We also noted the inclusion of USB charging ports on both sides of the king-sized bed, which was a thoughtful and practical touch. My wife worked from the main dining table in the living area and found it difficult to locate a nearby power outlet for her laptop. It seems the space wasn’t designed for working or device charging, and guests hoping to be productive in the living room may face the same limitation. The firm sofa, adorned with throw cushions and decorative towels, complemented the suite’s ambiance. Those who prefer a softer seat might find it takes a bit more settling in, perhaps due to wear over time, but the look and comfort still held up well. There was one quirky aspect of the property that stood out during our stay, although it wasn’t a problem for us since we had packed light. Guests who opt for self-parking should be prepared for a short walk approximately 30 to 50 metres to an adjacent car park. The car park itself lacks lifts, and the first level is reserved for residents of a nearby building. Hotel guests are required to park on the second floor or above, which means carrying luggage up one or more flights of stairs. If your luggage is on wheels and light, this may be a minor inconvenience. Otherwise, consider it an unexpected workout. All in all, this was a special and memorable stay, made all the more enjoyable by thoughtful touches and attentive service. While a few structural quirks remain, the warmth of the staff and the overall comfort of the suite more than made up for them.

Beautiful hotel

Stayed here for three nights to go to the western force lions test match. It was nicely located two blocks back from the swan river so easy to walk down or into town. Also located close to the free bus routes. The hotel was well appointed and I had one of the recently refurbished rooms overlooking the river. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the staff very efficient.

Dont do it

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Don’t do it! We have stayed at this hotel 2 other times. Robotic check in, room was freezing, we had engineers in three times and no compensation for what turned out to be a dreadful night. It was my 60th birthday and we had wanted to return due to the fantastic last experience before the Pan Pacific had finished the lounge. Food wise, you can’t compare as it was before the lounge was completed. Receptionists were like robots with no personality at all.. We have stayed at every hotel in Perth and do so regularly. Please do yourself a favour….this is not a destination to go to in WA. Thanks Pan Pacific…..we will never return.

A perfect break!

Excellent hotel! Efficient and professional service provided by all staff. We would like to acknowledge Rohan for his kind and considerate gestures which made our stay even more memorable. Mina and Paige also added their services which again contributed to our comfort. A tasteful ambience was created through the choice of artworks and decor throughout the hotel. The club experience was one of the best we have encountered in our many travels. Thank you all for your own personal contribution, and especially to Maarja-Liis at the first point of contact. We will look forward to a return visit. Liz and Ray

A great hotel to stay at near the CBD in Perth

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pan Pacific Perth, made all the more memorable by the exceptional team at the Executive Lounge—especially Mina, Charlene, and Kaila. A special thank you to Jennifer at reception, whose thoughtful recommendation to add lounge access truly elevated our experience. One of the standout features of the hotel is the Executive Lounge itself, where the daily rotating menu and chef’s specials showcase top-quality food that’s consistently fresh and delicious. It was a highlight of our stay and something we looked forward to each day.
