This was my first visit to Sofitel Phnom Penh and we left with a positive experience. The property lacks warmth but from what we saw while in Phnom Penh it looked to be among the best luxury hotels in the city. What we liked: 1. Staff was accommodating : we asked for a change of rooms to a higher floor and they worked on our request. 2. Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. We loved the view from the higher floor and were lucky to get a room with a balcony! 3. Housekeeping was excellent. We found our rooms spotless and they also took care of small requests. 4. Concierge was friendly and helpful 5. Did not use the pool but it looked well maintained and worth checking out What could have been better: Breakfast The spread was wide with a lot of variety. However, we found it repetitive over a 2 day stay and the choice for vegetarians (who do not consume egg) severely limited. We had highlighted this fact ahead of our visit so did hope for more variety than we got. The fruits and breads selection helped us get by.

Stayed for 3 nights. Lobby has a great ambiance. Service level is also Ok. Good facilities all around. Restraunt buffer was good. A bit pricey given everything but nevertheless good location. Reception service slow and not operating at optimum service levels.

Great service from check in counter and the club lounge, especially one of the staff named Simon at Club lounge who never fails to greet the guest by their name and remembering our names when we returned to the lounge on subsequent nights. Food and drinks selection were good quality during cocktail hours which was justified for the additional cost of USD 72 per night. Rooms is spacious and clean. However, when I checked in the room, the shower gel and shampoo looks used with dried up residue stain on the bottles. Shower gel were not refilled with new ones during my 1 week stay. Laundry service were advertise at USD40 per bag regardless of pieces. However upon check out I was charged individual pieces and staff claimed that I filled the wrong laundry form ( apparently there is a different form if guests want to use the $40/per bag promotion); but there was only 1 form placed with the laundry bag. Overall, I am impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and other service staff, hopefully the housekeeping team can be better when I return again next time.

Sofitel in Phnom Penh located fairly down town and sits on a large estate. The upkeep is great and has the ‘Sofitel ‘ fragrance as you walk into the lobby. The staff at the driveway is polite And Courteous. Our safety is always on their mind as they keep reminding gently for us to be careful with our belongings. The souvenir shop has a decent stock of Khmer handicrafts. The staff Sam Ol is extremely polite and courteous. Pleasant and customer centric in nature . Next to Sofitel, 3 mins walk will bring you to AEON mall with facilities - shopping, groceries and nice restaurants. Would recommend One to drop by the Hotel even though not staying there.

From the moment I checked in, until the moment I checked out, my stay was worry free and the hotel staff was always avalable to answer any questions. The daily breakfasts were amazing and the one dinner I had at the hotel was also very good. The service could have been better for dinner, but that was the only part of my stay that was not up to their usual standard. They were able to arrange for a day trip on a tuk tuk on a moments notice. The concierge was also very helpful with hiring a car and driver for three colleagues and myself to drive to our hotel in Siem Reap for a very reasonable rate. All in all, the Phnom Penh Sofitel was amazing and i would recommend it without hesitation.
