Don't waste your money, feels like a motel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 hours ago

We had a 'staycation' at Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak a couple of weeks ago and the experience was not great. The first room we received was on the first floor and it was dark and felt like a dungeon, it was one of their 'upgraded' rooms, but it felt like a cheap motel. The second room was also 'upgraded', it was on the 4th floor and it had stained carpets and a musty odor. The AC unit was extremely loud and worked without stopping and yet, it didn't cool off the room. The main reason we came was to enjoy the water park. We were not aware that it has limited hours, it's only open 10am -6pm. Check in is after 4pm, by the time we got in and got settled in our room the water park closed. This 'staycation' cost us $400 for one night -room, water park, breakfast and dinner for 2 people. That's waaaay too expensive for what we got. Everything on this property is old and outdated, even their 'upgraded' rooms. Not worth it at all.

Not a resort.

We opted to stay here as we were in town for a wedding and wanted a resort feeling. The website boasted many bars on the property, resort style water park, and all suites. The property is very dated, which was initially fine but after a few days it’s obvious that the rates do not match the property. We were initially greeted with a family of moths on our bathroom floor. We stayed on the first floor, which said it had a walk out patio with a garden view. Our balcony door did not open, but even if it did It was so narrow that our chairs had to face eachother, which is honestly better than the “garden view” you will see in our photos. This is a glorified motel which just happens to be close in proximity to the pool that has a slide and a lazy river. If you are looking for any sort of nice getaway, just look elsewhere. There are so many properties close to here that may be worth your while.

Fun place for a girls cheap

Pricing was fair and it is located next to fun places. Patty at the front desk was amazing and spoiled us! They will take you in a golf cart to the lazy river or to the restaurant Aunt Chillida's. I rated 4 stars as some of the resort needs updating.

Great Family Getaway

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

All the building entrances are immaculate with high ceilings and are beautifully decorated. Using the Hilton app we were notified early that our keys were available which was a great surprise. We stayed in building B and had no trouble finding parking each day we stayed. Our room was good for what we needed. The sitting room carpet had some stains but we didn’t end up spending much time in the room. We spent most of our time at the water park which was beautiful. The water was nicely heated except our last day the waterfall pool was cold. Table service at the park was slow but it was very busy so we just enjoyed more time in the water. The waterside was perfect for my 7year old who went down many times. We also enjoyed a round of mini golf!
