Royal Palms Resort and Spa

We recently stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The property is lovely and the staff is very nice. The food/service is great. However, the room left much to be desired. We were upgraded to a Casita. The issues: the bed is old and sagged in the middle and the room smelled musty. We were moved 2 doors down. The room also smelled musty and at 9 p.m. we had A/C issues. Someone came promptly-the air filter was dirty and there was water pooled on the bottom. The beds were a little better but not much and not to the standard of a hotel with this rating. The room has an odor so much so that when I cam home, I had to wash all my clothes since the smell transferred. It could be from old carpet or carpet cleaning or just a room in need of dire renovation. What got me was the front staff stated well no one complains which I found suspect. The Spa treatment was great and again the food and service was great. The rooms need maintence and upgrades now.

Best hotel by far in Scottsdale. Beautiful grounds full of history. Food was outstanding service from the pool to the room service was excellent.

This is my second stay at this property. The first time was over 27 yrs ago when I proposed to my wife. I was shocked that nothing has changed very much other than new furniture and minor remodeling. It is such a pleasant property that is quiet and very well kept by the staff. The staff was incredible and gave such a warm welcome. This is not the "party" hotel or hotel to "people watch". Peaceful, comfortable, and private are the best words to describe it.

This was my second stay here and the Manager, Irving, and staff were very professional, going above and beyond my wildest expectations to resolve and handle several issues during the first day. My Mother had a perfect experience at the Spa with Celeste and Kaitlyn, it was a dream come true! Katie, our beautiful waitress at the T. Cooks Restaurant every morning was amazing. Natalie and others at the Front Desk were all so beautiful, sweet and kind as well. Chelsea, the Manager at T. Cooks and both Amy Resort managers were absolutely wonderful. Every single staff member was impressive and courteous. Apologies for mispelling or forgetting anyone's name. The Royal Palms Resort and Spa is a Paradise on Earth! My absolute favorite Hotel, and T. Cooks is my absolute favorite Restaurant!! Perfectly curated service, food and beauty everywhere you look!!! A genuine haven of bliss which I will return to as much as I possibly can!!!! One of the best stays in over 20yrs, I would advise your other guests not to rush out to outside restaurants because the on-site restaurant had the best food, whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner during my visit to Phoenix.
