Reviews for Royal Palms Resort and Spa

Beautiful hotel in Scottsdale

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

This is the first time we visited Phoenix and we stayed one night at the Royal Palms Resort. This beautiful hotel is so cute that it was like staying in a beautiful, well manicured garden. The staff was wonderful, food was delicious, and kids had fun in the 24-hour pool and hot tub. The room was spacious with a cozy fireplace. Some items in the room could use a upgrade but I was perfectly okay because I could easily see the room rate goes up significantly with a refresh. Highly recommended overall!

Girls weekend at Royal Palm

The grounds and hotel experience was great at Royal Palm. We enjoyed the lobster pasta on the menu for room service after a full day of travel and were just as impressed with the breakfast in the main dining room. The on-grounds pastry chef does an amazing job and appreciate the manager John taking care of our every need. The Dubai Chocolate bar dessert is top notch and we had two while we were there. The Cappuccinos were just as impressive coming with fresh made chocolate biscotti and two large brown sugar cubes.

Historic hotel - overpriced outdated accommodations and expensive add on fees.

The grounds and historic elements are outstanding. Even though there was a wedding, we never heard a sound or felt crowded. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and accessible. The food in the restaurant was quite good and fairly priced and the happy hour in the adjacent bar is outstanding. Our room however was disappointing. It was clean and spacious as was the bathroom, But needs..no demands a remodel. The furniture was easily 30 years old, the bedside lamps did not match and the usb port in the lamp base inoperable. To get to your coffee maker you had to open large cabinet doors which made it impossible to walk around. The pass through between the bathroom and the room itself is ridiculous. Honestly who wants to sit in a hotel room and look into a bathroom? Oh and there is a $50.00 resort fee And overnight guests pay a valet parking fee of $40.00 a night. So add $90.00 onto the high room rates.

Very disappointed; won't return

Once a glorious property, this place has lost its luster. The suite I stayed in was worn and dark. Housekeeping is not allowed to wipe down surfaces during regular housekeeping. The maid actually told us she is not allowed to! Fo the money I spent per night, in excess of $1000, I was disappointed. TCook's was good!

We booked the 4-night package on Luxury Link and it was well worth it. The package was an amazing value! My wife and I spent four days there and wish we could have spent a few more. The food at T. Cook's was the best I have had in a while. The menu also offered a local-products-only meal, which was terrific. The spa was very nice and we fully enjoyed each of our treatments. The rest of the time was spent laying by the pool, shopping in the Scottsdale mall, and playing golf. I would recommend Royal Palms Resort and Spa to any and all.
