We are staying at The Royal Palms Resort for a nice relaxing weekend. We were greeted and welcomed by Mr. Doug Fortune who is the nicest, most gracious manager. What a nice surprise that when we arrived he was at the front desk and offered us a glass of champagne as a welcome and told us that if we needed anything to let him know. That was the start to the wonderful stay. Then a Happy Birthday treat too. Thank you Mr. Fortune! We feel very fortunate to have met you! The Royal Palms is a beautiful historic hotel with the most beautiful colorful landscaping. At this time of the year (December 10th) it is beautifully decorated for the holidays but it is also beautiful all year. The dining room feels like a lodge and the bar has live music during the weekends. The pool is perfect and the gym and spa top it all off. If you want a wonderful personal hotel, The Royal Palms is terrific. Much better than the impersonal Phoenician which is better suited for large conferences. I am feeling completely happy and relaxed staying that The Royal Palms. It is my favorite hotel in the entire world! Thank you Doug Fortune and staff for making my birthday weekend perfect!

Had a 24 hour stay on a solo trip. Room 132 was spacious and comfortable with a gas fireplace and patio. Cozy and lovely. Enjoyed everything about this character filled hotel. Staff was really nice and welcoming. The bar and restaurant were both atmospheric and excellent. I loved all the lanterns and fireplaces along the amaze of outdoor corridors and pathways dripping with bouganvilla.

This 119 room resort is really well done. Since being a home in the 20’s, Royal Palms has seen some change and growth and it all seems to be for the better. The staff, grounds, meeting rooms, catering we all top-notch! I would stay here again, weather it was our group of 25, or just my wife and I...only 20 mins from the airport but you feel like you are in the desert our much further...well-done!

The resort is starting to show it's age but the staff and overall experience was great. What wonderful young people. We enjoyed the bar. The location is great. It allowed us to visit about anywhere we wanted in Scottsdale and took a drive up to Sonoma as well.

After a really bad night in another hotel, I called Amex's Fine Hotels and Resorts and asked them to help me find a place that would let me check in early so I could finally sleep. They called Royal Palms and arranged for us to check in at 10am. When I pulled into the property, I was thrilled. Its authentic med atmosphere is welcoming. You must valet your car and receive an escort to your room. Parking per day is pricey ($27 i think). Tipping is part of the resort fee, but you can tip on top if you're impressed by the help you receive. Our room was spotless, beautiful, and comfortable with views to a courtyard with fountains and seating. This hotel feels generous in small ways that means a lot. You can enjoy their gorgeous Spa's steam rooms and whirlpools, as well as the quiet room. There's free water everywhere, coffee and a refreshing beverage in the lobby, and reasonably priced bottles of water in the lobby. We dined at their restaurant and ordered room service, both were great (order the mussels!). The walls are a bit thin. We were on the bottom floor and when the guests upstairs walked around or showered, it was loud (didn't go on for much time and was fine). This is a solid and easy choice for a beautiful, romantic, and feel good place to stay. We will definitely return. ***Flor at the front desk was outstanding. She was kind and helpful and remembered our details from the beginning to the end of our stay.*** Really special.
