A perfect relaxing villa resort holiday

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

My husband and I loved our stay, we had a “Grand deluxe pool villa” for 7 nights. We’ve been to Phuket a few times before and had a clear intent for this trip - that we just wanted a holiday to properly relax and we were happily able to achieve that at Aleenta. The resort is 30 mins from the airport and not really close to anything (about an hour car ride to get to the main part of Phuket) but that was fine for us as we just wanted to enjoy our villa and the resort rather than go exploring. However if we did want to, we could have booked an excursion through the resort or book a Grab (Uber). We got to the airport in the morning and had pre booked a pick up (we had some issues finding the driver for 30 mins) but this was able to resolved once we called the resort. The driver had an air conditioned van with cold towels and water for us which was a nice touch after flying in. Once we got to the resort we were treated to a delicious butterfly pea welcome drink and were fortunate to be able to check in early. Our villa was just as perfect as in the photos and our pool was a great size and bigger than a typical plunge villa pool, we loved how the room was designed so you can look at the beautiful pool from bed or the bathroom. I also loved the huge shaded daybed next to pool to lounge on all day and read. The villa was clean and well laid out for a couple, we had a lovely cleaning lady who was so polite and did a great job of tidying up after us (even folding my husbands messy clothes he lazily had not put away). We were also treated to nightly turndown service. The tv had a chromecast rather than cable so that was handy to watch Netflix etc. We had booked via the hotel directly and had a package where we got dinner or lunch included too, so became very familiar with the main restaurant (the other one was a plant based one - which we didn’t choose to eat at and was always very quiet but looked quite premium). Staff were very friendly each day and there were enough menu choices to keep us engaged for our week long stay. I liked having an ala carte breakfast paired with a basic buffet. The wellness menu options were well designed and tasty not just healthy. Some of my favorites were the Bircher muesli and the Wheatgrass sorbet. They also had Asian and Western menus too which were good and allowed you to mix it up. Being from Melbourne we are used to amazing food, but for a Thailand resort we were happy with most things ordered. The main pool and beach area was super clean and well maintained, although beach was not suitable for swimming due to jellyfish. However not an issue for us as we only wanted to swim in the pools. The resort wasn’t that busy which was good as a lot of the time we had the main pool area to ourselves. We went to the spa a few times for oil massages, which were really nice too. I also like having an app for the resort which was handy to talk to front desk, order room service and find out info like excursions, dining menus, spa menu etc. Overall we had a beautiful stay and would happily return in future - Thank you!

Relaxing and rejuvenating

We had an incredible five night stay at Aleenta where the service was exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The room was spotless and very comfortable and relaxing. Turn down service with a nice treat every night. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend to anyone

Better options in Phuket

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Ongoing construction around the resort (1 restaurant closed, workers loitering around rooms) should be informed before hand. Check in at reception was extremely slow though the staff was hospitable and helpful. Details of packages are unclear and needs to be clarified multiple times to ensure one isn't shortchanged. Overall a decent resort with a nice kids club (best part of the resort was this!). the 2 br suite isn't the most child friendly with had marble stairs with certain areas exposed with no barriers. Pool is also located on the 2nd floor. The bath tub is ENORMOUS and takes hours to fill just a tenth full. With the wide array of options and competitive pricing, it is unlikely one would return as although pleasant it doesn't stand out much.

I loved the total privacy in the villa

It was a beautiful place, quite and suitable for couples and families. The private deluxe villa is amazing, I loved the privacy as it's 100% private. They have a buffet breakfast and la carte menu as well. The staff are extremely friendly and will try their best to assist you.

fabulous experience at Aleenta!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The resort is wonderful. The villas are very spacious and comfortable. Beautiful views. Private pools. The staff is incredible. ..So lovely warm and welcoming. we are still here and have really enjoyed ourselves. The Songkran festivities have been so fun. It’s so great to watch the staff participate in their homelands celebration. The food has been wonderful and quite delicious! We also have enjoyed all the excursions that we have arranged through Aleenta. … including the elephant sanctuary, the big Buddha and temple, the night Market, and James Bond Island. We highly recommend this resort!
