Anantara Phuket Villas

We had an amazing stay @ Anantara Mai Khao. Booked a one bedroom Lagoon villa - beautiful and well maintained with lots of amenities provided. We used the very well maintained gym a lot and took part in the exercise classes including a basic Muay Thai class. Gym instructors San and Yong and the Tai Chi instructor were amazing - clear in their instructions and patient. Food is excellent at the resort itself. Wide variety available at the breakfast. The other options are at resort prices but worth the money. We ate at Crab and Co. - which does the seafood beautifully, Talad - the Thai food menu is actually different from La Sala (both are great examples of Thai cuisine - try the pomelo salad (La Sala) and the grouper with basil and lime (Talad) - they certainly don’t skimp on good and fresh ingredients. We had the omakase at Tree House - as good as many ryokan in Japan - very creative. Only a pity that Sea Salt Fire was closed for renovations. But in case one craves other offerings, the Turtle Mall is just next door and has a good selection. All in - a great stay. Amazing service and enough to do without leaving the resort.

This wasn't our first time here. We've been coming regularly since 2012. It's always a wonderful stay. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Requests are handled quickly. Everything can be planned and coordinated very well in advance. The villas offer plenty of privacy and tranquility.

Everything about our stay was amazing from start to finish! As expected, the staff were friendly and helpful at all times - which all started with a quick and pleasurable check-in experience. The grounds of the property are lush and full of greenery, with numerous water features teaming with fish. Although you can cycle around the property...walking is just as enjoyable. Our room was fantastic and extremely spacious, with plenty of room for the whole family. My top 3 things about the Anantara would probably be as follows: - Breakfast: An amazing spread of food with plenty of options for all pallets. Enjoyed waking up every morning to come to breakfast. - Bua Bar: A true hidden gem. A unique and cozy bar tucked away amongst one of the water features - this bar offers the opportunity to enjoy sophisticated cocktails in an intimate and relaxing setting. - Beach Pool: Lastly, the swimming pool located next to the beach is probably one of the most picturesque swimming pools I've ever seen. Great views, great seating options, great time. Would definitely recommend the Anantara, and I wouldn't be surprised if we made it back there one day.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff are incredibly kind, caring, and attentive to the individual needs of every guest, which makes the experience feel very personal. The beds are super comfortable, ensuring perfect rest, and the hotel provides everything you might need for a great vacation – from beach hats to stylish beach bags. I would especially like to highlight Sunma, who is by far the most professional and outstanding waiter I have ever met – her service made our stay even more special. Highly recommended!
