We had a wonderful 4D3N family holiday at Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket! I had requested for 2 connecting Deluxe-Ocean-Facing rooms for 8 of us my 4kids were young. The rooms are spacious, clean and excellent view. Although our rooms are considerable far, we are still close to the pools and amenities around the hotel. There’s also buggy available to bring us around if we needed, service was never an issue at all! In fact, every staff is friendly and approachable from reception to restaurant to the beach. The kids participated in the organized beach games and had great fun while we enjoyed yumylicious happy hour drinks. The multiple pools were fantastic, one do not have to leave the hotel for any water theme park, the kids especially enjoyed jumping off the cliffs, so did we! We also booked Fantasea and halfday tour via the tour desk and which was good value, really quick and fuss free. We had breakfast in the hotel as our package is inclusive which had extensive variety and delicious. We wanted to try some local food and had no trouble getting tuktuk with the hotel’s assistance to visit the nearby town for food and shopping. There’s also a beach restaurant just outside the hotel on the far right which serves really yummy food at good value. The kids totally loved it and enjoyed the authenticity of Thai food and beach life! We were also lucky to participate in the hotel Christmas lights up ceremony, it felt so festive. It was a wonderful stay and we look forward to another Centara stay!

Our family of 5 stayed at the Centara in June 2017. It was fantastic. We had a great time. The resort was a big hit with our kids (10,8,6). The lazy river, waterslides and cliff jumping (well, more like a 4m ledge) were frequented every day, for hours. They also loved the kids club, which for Thai kids club's, was pretty good. It actually had staff, which is a nice change from some of our other experiences. They had an area for little tots, crafts, video games and movies. The Carpe Diem Team of Dario and Bjanka were great. They held kids club parties at least 3 nights a week and then held lots of great pool activities and games during the day for the kids and adults. We had two rooms and stayed in Block 8. 825/824, which overlooked the pool to the kids club building, bar, restaurant area. Rooms were big, clean and generous. The balconies were filled with furniture which was oversized and made it feel cramped, but didnt really spend too much time out there. We asked for interconnecting rooms, nad they were, however they were not the traditional interconnecting rooms. We expected internal doors between the two rooms however the rooms were joined by a door on the balcony. The first night we were a bit concerned but the kids were fine and we checked on them regularly. Karon was only a 10 minute stroll up the beach and a nice and easy pace compared to Patong, which is about 10 minutes by tuk-tuk. Tuk-tuk's have made it a basic 200baht anywhere in Karon, even if its a 2 minute ride. Beware!! We did a day tour with Panya from PPK tours. He was excellent and really resonably priced. 100bht to take us to the Phuket Town market, which was well worth the visit. Amazing food and really great vibe. Market stuff was okay but great food options and super cheap.

We went to phuket in the summer 2017, and had a deluxe pool suite for 10 days. This was a great location for us, since we wanted a relaxing holiday. First, the room. It's great, spacious and private. The bathroom is amazing, and the minibar was full. I expected the water in the private pool to be warmer though, i dipped in it once, but not again. About the food, i loved the breakfast, it was filled with all you could ever want! The beach was just a few steps away from the hotel pool, and the pool area was whitout a doubt the best pool area of a hotel that I've ever been at! The hotel itself is located just a few minutes walk away from Karon, which is a nice town, and about a 5-minute taxi og tuk tuk-ride away is Patong, which is larger and more stressful than Karon. The taxi service on the hotel was fast, safe and with a good price All in all this hotel was great! I must say though, that the staff was the best part of it. So smiling, generous and helpful! We also got to know Bowey in the restaurant (Mare i think it was), who actually was set to move to Norway in the fall/winter. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone who would like a quiet, relaxing and stress-free holiday :)
We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with our children in the royal villas at this resort. We were treated superbly. Special thanks to Valeria, Montip (from the lounge) and Joke (in the restaurant). You all made our stay so special and are a real asset to this hotel. Thanks again - we will be back!
