Can honesty say I’ve never been more disappointed in a hotel , having paid extra for ocean view we have a huge tree just outside balcony! The room is tiny , 3 of us can’t even open suitcase without putting it on bed , and no where to store them , can’t walk round bed . Blinds don’t keep the light out, The hotel site is massive , 2 lifts and lots of walking between lifts to get to room on 3rd floor , we are a relatively active family but finding it hard going . The pools are hard to get in and out of with sunbeds right at edge on the few places where you can walk in and out , the tiles in and around the pool are rough and sharp in places , causing scrapes and grazes. The whole place feels tired

"The worst hotel in Phuket is Centara Grand Beach Resort. " We just checked in at Centara Grand Phuket, and we're having the worst experience of our lives here. Never book this hotel. Firstly, despite arriving after 3 PM, the hotel took a lot of time to check us in, citing that the housekeeping staff was in the room. Once they gave us the room key, we took two lifts and walked for 5 minutes to reach the room, only to find out that the key they gave us wasn't working. An employee named Danika told us they would send a new key, but after waiting for an hour and reminding them three times, we still haven't received it. This is the epitome of unprofessionalism. We're still waiting for our room key. The staff is extremely unprofessional. Never book this hotel; you'll regret it, just like we are regretting it now. Spent 8 days at the wonderful central grand after a terrible experience in another hotel, the room was clean, with great views of gardens and pool, we stayed in the deluxe king room with spa bath, staff are so friendly and helpful, food at breakfast had amazing choices, pools were clean, but had a design fault, with steps being not same height and if not careful could cause an accident to young children or infirm adults, otherwise facilities were great, wife had a spa which she said was great. The beach is very clean, but can be chopping and on some days swimming is not advised, but go further along and it is fine, it is located on Karon beach and you can walk along the beach to get to the centre, with all the bars, restaurants and shops, and cheap massage places. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

Thank you so much for the stay! It was a great experience and memory. It was my first time traveling with my 10-month-old daughter, and I was quite worried. We received a free room upgrade, which was very nice and much appreciated. The room overlooking the sea was lovely; we could hear the waves at night and in the morning. I particularly enjoyed the hotel surroundings, where I could stroll with a pram. The breakfast had a good selection of food. Initially, I was concerned about feeding my daughter solid food, but there were plenty of options on the buffet: fresh fruits, vegetables, unsalted congee, and they even made oatmeal porridge without salt or water once! I want to give a special mention to Ida, who helped us during breakfast; she took care of us every day, which was very kind. She assisted with my daughter's special dietary requests during the buffet. The hotel's F&B team, including the director Andrea, was excellent. Andrea made sure that we have everything we need. We also frequented the Italian restaurant Mare, where Fah took great care of us. She ensured our dietary needs were met and offered a variety of options on the kids' menu, not just burgers and fries. My daughter loved the chicken soup! Beat, the waiter, was also very kind to her and greeted us warmly every time. Overall, the people in Thailand are incredibly nice, friendly, and welcoming, which makes me love coming back to this country. It was also nice to meet Karla at check-out; she speaks Russian, and it was pleasant talking to her. The bellboy team, particularly Thibaut(sorry maybe I am mistaken with the name) was very helpful with our parcels. Thank you again for the wonderful stay! We've moved to another hotel in Phuket, but we already miss the staff from Centara.

We had the nicest stay at the resort. Our family (all adults) hung out at the Ripples pool bar (adult only) & “O” our bartender was so nice & attentive during our whole stay. He remembered our names & was so personable. We will definitely come back here again.
