The only thing that rivals the natural beauty surrounding The Naka Phuket is the architecture designed to enhance it. The resort is stunning – so stunning that it won Best New Hotel in Wallpaper’s 2014 Design Awards – and its mountainous location on the west side of Phuket is far away from city lights. Here the ocean glimmers through the seemingly endless glass expanse of the minimally designed villas, where teak, granite and concrete give them a cool, industrial feel.

We stayed at the Naka Phuket from 26th Dec 2025 until 1st Jan 2026. Our villa was W/233 which had the best views of the sunset. It was a 3 double-bedroom & 4 bathroom villa over 2 storeys, with living room, kitchen, 3 x balconies, sun terrace and infinity pool. It was incredible. The hotel is in a quiet secluded location about 15 minute taxi ride from the centre of Patong, and sometimes it was hard to get a Bolt or Grab. The hotel itself is absolutely fabulous with its own very long (perhaps 75m) infinity pool, pool bar and beach. It also had a very nice spa, gym and rood top terrace restaurant. Breakfasts were delicious overlooking the beach and sea. The staff were fabulous, but I would particularly like to mention Tawan on reception who was fantastic. At one point my 18 year old daughter stood on a sea urchin and he spent hours trying to get the needles out of her foot, and did so with a smile on his face. The hotel's management team, including Pakkaporn Sukkasem were so accommodating, especially since we had a very late flight home and allowed us to use our villa until we left at 5pm. The atmosphere was great, the guests were lovely and the property was clean. A huge amount of work went into the New Year's Eve party, where the food, DJ, fireworks and marquee were fab, and if you had younger kids it was good. Older kids should really venture into Patong for New Year's Eve where the nightlife is unbelievable.
