About the Hotel

The only thing that rivals the natural beauty surrounding The Naka Phuket is the architecture designed to enhance it. The resort is stunning – so stunning that it won Best New Hotel in Wallpaper’s 2014 Design Awards – and its mountainous location on the west side of Phuket is far away from city lights. Here the ocean glimmers through the seemingly endless glass expanse of the minimally designed villas, where teak, granite and concrete give them a cool, industrial feel.

Amazing Stay!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Loved our stay at The Naka Phuket! The views are incredible, and the private villas with pools are fantastic. Super friendly staff and delicious food at the on-site restaurant. The infinity pool is a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. The beach is a bit rocky but still beautiful and quiet. Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!

JUST MARRIED! - TRULY AMAZING EXPERIENCE & SERVICE

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Me and my (now) wife got married at The Naka March 1st. We contacted The Naka 1 year ahead, and were put in contact with Khun Ann, who manages the events and weddings at The Naka. And what can I say... Khun Ann is a star! Very helpful, knowledgeable and very easy to communicate with! With her help we managed to have the wedding of our dreams, and we couldn't be happier with the result. The food prepared was amazing and well presented, Khun Ann and Khun Ice did an amazing job organizing the staff and making sure our special day was stressfree. I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again! :) We stayed a total of 5 nights at The Naka, and it's such a lovely hotel with wonderful staff! We can't wait to come back! Thank you everyone at The Naka!

Solid resort but there are a few things you should know

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Overall this is a beautiful hotel in a private sheltered cove that’s well suited for water sports (i.e. kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding, etc). There are a few things which i think are really very important / relevant which other reviewers don’t seem to cover. These are; - there is no air-conditioning in the hotel restaurant and instead they rely on the natural sea breeze and fans. There is also no A/C in the reception / lobby. While most of the staff maintained their good humor despite the heat and the lack of A/C, you can see many of them struggling and I can’t help but feel that it does affect the general mood / atmosphere of the service being provided - if you book a private pool villa (which i think are 95% of the rooms), there are no umbrellas / parasols for the sun-loungers. This can be a big issue particularly in the afternoon sun if you’re lying by the pool and trying to use your phone, iPad or laptop. My iPad overheated and shut down given how hot it was and the lack of shade cover - the private pools need some maintenance. Our pool had lots of missing tiles which creates sharp edges which can be an issue if you’re not careful - the breakfast selection is fairly limited. While they do have a noodle bar, unlike other hotels in Phuket, they serve the same noodles every single day. In the Hyatt Regency Phuket for example, they have a different noodle dish for breakfast every single day while also doing a better job of rotating other dishes. The fruit selection at breakfast is also very much limited - expect standard watermelon, cantaloupe, etc. Do not expect any local / exotic fruit like rambutan, longan, starfruit, etc - the snorkeling equipment has definitely seen better days (think yellowed / browned mouthpieces, etc) and should be refreshed - the layout of the rooms are a little odd and would not be my favorite, particularly vs other pool villas you will find in Phuket. There are no TVs in the bedroom of the one-bedroom villas. For some people this may not be an issue but we do like having the option if possible Overall, this is still a good resort with amazing architecture and views. With some improvements, this resort would be better deserving of all the accolades and acclaim it seems to have garnered.
