About the Hotel

Moved by the raw beauty of the landscape, husband and wife team Gordon and Daniele Oldham built The Pavilions, Phuket with the intention of creating the ultimate environment for couples who want privacy in Asia’s most popular beach destination. Stylish Zen-inspired interiors in bold shades of black, white and red evoke romance, softened by indigenous fabrics and local art. A 40-foot private infinity pool is big enough for laps, but ideal for an intimate sunrise champagne toast.

Great resort stay

Stayed 5 nights. 3 nights in a 2 bedroom pool villa (there were 3 of us) This was great. Rooms are huge and having the private pool was handy. I used it way more than I thought I would. Early morning swim, after you come back from an outing. The bathroom area is a little dark but I didn’t mind it. The second bedroom has its own coutyard and door so is very private too. Perfect for slightly older children or adults. Has its own bathroom. Moved to a garden villa for the next 2 nights for just 2 of us. Still very large with 2 bathrooms for the 2 of us! It’s hard to compare to a pool villa though - would definitely recommend the pool villa! As noted, there is a lot of construction around the resort and in Bang Tao. As we were not ocean facing this did not affect us at all. I read reviews that this is in the middle of nowhere. That was part of the appeal in some way, it feels like a real resort. I used the shuttle to the beach and boat avenue a couple of times or just got a car/ motor bike using bolt. It’s 10 mins there. Shuttles only go three times a day at 11,1 and 3. The beach is very long and beautiful. They have a fire show at Smigos at sunset every night. The resort is hilly but they do have buggies that can pick you up and take you around the resort. They are usually very quick to arrive and we never had any problems. Staff are all very lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

A exceptional resort , we stayed in a spa pool villa , which was enormous, and well thought out , the grounds are tropical and very well maintained, the restaurants serve delicious food with great service, the bar has the best views and the coldest beers. The inclusions in are booking were exceptional, breakfast was something to look forward too , massages amazing ,afternoon tea a fun time to chat with other guests . Firefly served a great selection, and we loved everything we had , while alto has amazing views and the best pasta dish ( mushroom ravioli) I’ve ever had . 360 bar , the best sunset views in Phuket . A special mention to this resorts attitude towards food allergies, my wife has celiac disease, and Asia can be difficult, I know the gluten free community use trip adviser to find places to stay and eat , let me say this , this resort and its restaurants are safe and completely understand food allergies especially gluten and eating gluten free , the care taken with my wife was second to none. But what makes this a special place are its people , Anthony ( manager) thoughtful and very helpful , I just wish he wasn’t so good looking , hahaha , Claire ( my wife ) couldn’t stop telling me. Christine @ alto , you’re a treasure to this resort . Thank you for all the help and emails Preaw and sujan , @ alto , 2 of the most pleasant, hardworking, polite young people I have ever met a complete credit to the resort. Everyone we meet were happy and wonderful. Thank you again the pavilions Phuket. Chris and Claire .

Amazing hotel

Absolutely stunning hotel set within tropical grounds that are full of lush vegetation, colourful flowers and birdsong. As you drive through the gates the sight of bamboo arches across the road is spectacular and welcoming. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and are genuinely happy to ensure you are enjoying your stay. I love the fact that Ponpoong (I hope I’ve got her name right) remembers exactly how I like my coffee. That makes me smile every morning. The atmosphere in Firefly restaurant is casual with a fine dining menu. I’ve particularly enjoyed the blue crab Thai yellow curry - so full of flavour and the perfect amount of spice - well done chef. There’s every type and style of room or villa at the Pavilions to suit your needs, you just need to choose what suits you. Look out for special offers. We booked a half board offer with a cocktail every day. The spa offers luxurious products and treatments to help you relax and is well worth a visit. We ventured out on the kayaking excursion exploring caves which was very well organised and offered an excellent buffet lunch. Pick up and return to the hotel was flawless. I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment at the Pavilions and cannot wait to return. A big thank you to everyone.
