The Pavilions Phuket in Phuket, Thailand

Moved by the raw beauty of the landscape, husband and wife team Gordon and Daniele Oldham built The Pavilions, Phuket with the intention of creating the ultimate environment for couples who want privacy in Asia’s most popular beach destination. Stylish Zen-inspired interiors in bold shades of black, white and red evoke romance, softened by indigenous fabrics and local art. A 40-foot private infinity pool is big enough for laps, but ideal for an intimate sunrise champagne toast.

Wake to sound of silence – rainforest surrounds you, and in the distance, waves lap the beach. Call for banana pancakes to be delivered to your villa. Float in your pool, looking up at a clear blue sky. Take a midday stroll through tranquil gardens inhabited by Buddha sculptures. Arrange a massage for two that starts with a scrub made from black sesame seeds and honey. Dine on duck confit in red curry lychee sauce as you enjoy 360-degree views of the sea.

Highly recommend for couples looking for a relaxing, romantic get away. Rooms, service, scenery, views, staff all outstanding. Loved the oceanview villa - complete privacy and outstanding sunsets...plus the fireworks below were a wonderful bonus. I honestly can't think of a thing anyone could possibly complain about. It's not right on the beach, but there 's a shuttle that will drive you the 5 minutes to the beach. The views from being up the mountain make the 5 minute shuttle totally worthwhile. Beach itself is beautiful - very long, white sand, warm water, tons of places to rent a sunbed with shade or just throw a towel in the shade. Walk left to see busier areas, right to see 'deserted' island and pretty much have a beach all to yourself. If staying at the resort, highly recommend including breakfast in your package. Good food and variety and beautiful views and it was never very busy. We didn't ever see anyone else having the afternoon tea at the Firefly, but it was very good. Dinner was good at the resort, or you can take a shuttle into town and there are tons of restaurants of every description. We never had reservations but had no trouble getting in anywhere we wanted to go.

Stayed in a hill view suite but actually had a beautiful view of the amazing swimming pool. The suite was fabulous so spacious, bright & clean. Breakfast was very good but some mornings a bit chaotic as there was a large Asian tour group staying at the same time as us. We loved Layan beach that the shuttle bus dropped us off at. So quiet & so few people, very picturesque, lovely soft sand & warm water....absolutely perfect! The beach restaurant was basic & the food ok, but we loved the beach so much we went most days. This was always going to be a 5 star review until our last night when we had dinner at the Plantation restaurant! The starters were lovely, however my husband had to return his main course of duck three ways as it was over cooked! I continued eating my meal & was finished eating before the replacement dish arrived, which was also returned as it too was overdone! So I ate alone & my husband had nothing!!!! We did not get the opportunity to raise this with the GM or head chef. We ate several times at Firefly & always received great food & service. Valerie ( the trainer) was very friendly, helpful & attentive. In short would I return.......yes in a heartbeat!!!

Can not get enough of Pavilions. Nestled in forest, smelling like botanical garden, overlooking the whole area, and best of the people who work in hotel are both smiling, welcoming and competent. Special thanks to Cathy. Currently staying in new part 201, been in villa, i can not make up my mind which is better. Highly recommended

The last night of our 3-weeks Thailand holiday we spent at The Pavilions in Phuket. Standard of service is extremely high. All employees are highly engaged and keen on providing the best for each guest individually. We booked a standard suite and were offered a huge room with a great view. The poolside and the restaurant are very clean and elegant in style. Surrounded by palm trees the pool makes you feel super relaxed. We were also positively surprised that all employees including the maintenance staff spoke good-enough English and always greeted one even when driving by in a golf cart.

We stayed at the Pavilions on a last minute booking basis. Staff was warm and friendly, accommodation felt new and fresh and very well maintained and the food was excellent. Really cant fault this hotel on any level (And I am fussy)
