About the Hotel

Moved by the raw beauty of the landscape, husband and wife team Gordon and Daniele Oldham built The Pavilions, Phuket with the intention of creating the ultimate environment for couples who want privacy in Asia’s most popular beach destination. Stylish Zen-inspired interiors in bold shades of black, white and red evoke romance, softened by indigenous fabrics and local art. A 40-foot private infinity pool is big enough for laps, but ideal for an intimate sunrise champagne toast.

A Relaxing Return Stay with Wonderful Service, Despite a Few Hiccups

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 8 hours ago

This was our second stay at The Pavilions Phuket, and this time we were able to enjoy a slightly longer visit.  Overall, it was another relaxing and memorable stay, though there were a few issues worth mentioning. On our first night, our villa had a persistent noise coming from the villa above, loud enough to disrupt sleep and trying to get over jetlag.  The hotel’s engineer came to investigate, and while the issue was resolved temporarily, it did return.  The team kindly offered to move us the following night, and sleep was much better, though the noise did reappear later in the stay in the second villa which required a further engineer visit to correct, seems to be related to pool pump issues of villas above.  For the price of the Spa Pool Pavilion villa, a consistently quiet night’s sleep should really be guaranteed. Compared to last year’s stay in the pentshouse villa, some areas could also benefit from a little TLC in terms of furnishings and upkeep particularly lighting and nosey air-conditioning. We booked directly with the hotel, which came with a range of great perks.  While these were appreciated, a few of them needed clarification on arrival meaning some awkwardness from a guests perspective which should not have been necessary, given they should have been clearly outlined and already aware. That said, the positives absolutely outweighed the negatives.  The daily in‑room massages were a highlight are truly wonderful.  A big thank you to Cream, Iris, and the rest of the Spa Team for making each session so relaxing. As we were staying in a villa with private pool we never used the larger pool area but when we dined on some days and evenings and the area looked very quiet and not many people sunbathing and plenty of sunloungers available. Breakfast at Alto was as fantastic as ever, with plenty of fresh fruit, pastries, and a wide selection to choose from.  Manny, Park, Christine, Nui, Poom and the whole team were exceptional, both at breakfast and during the afternoon cocktail hours. If you’re staying in a villa, the in‑room BBQ is a must.  Wut and the chef delivered an excellent evening with generous portions and great flavours.  Getting around the resort was effortless thanks to the buggy drivers, who were always quick to arrive when requested through the app.  They do a brilliant job and often share helpful tips about Phuket. They are all so friendly. The reception team were also a pleasure to deal with, Rike and Chom assisting with taxis, bookings, and anything else we needed during out stay. Transport is provided to the Laguna shopoing area and also to the beach.  We never used but its a nice to have offered by the hotel.  The hotel is nicely situated not to far from the airport. If you’re looking for a place with chilled vibes where you can truly unwind and return home feeling refreshed, The Pavilions Phuket remains a wonderful choice.  Despite a few bumps this time, we left relaxed and happy and still wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and should we return to Phuket it will still be our go to choice of hotel.

Beautiful resort

Excellent hotel resort villa with private pool was lovely, all staff friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Was a shame that there is a lot of building work happening outside the hotel and while this is not the hotels fault when you have paid thousands of pounds for a private villa with pool to relax having constant building noise is annoying and did impact our stay

Superb Hotel in a Tranquil Setting

A beautiful hotel in a tranquil setting. The staff are so friendly and can’t do enough for you. We stayed in a Garden Suite which was so spacious it even had a kitchenette. Prices at the hotel for food, drink and room service were very good for a hotel on this standard. We ate at the Firefly, Alto and 360 restaurants and the service and food was fab. We went to the 360 restaurant to see the sun setting and we had sushi but you can go there just for a drink to watch the sunset aswell. We also experienced a massage for an hour s d again the service and price was amazing. A big thank you to Louise, Ja-aey and May. A massive shout out to Wut who used to recommend places to visit and eat. I will definitely be recommending this hotel as a UK travel agent. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Private villa with pool, great hospitality and wonderful staff. One of the best hotels I've stayed in.

Spent a fantastic 11 nights at the Pavilions in a private villa with pool. We were in Villa 2. It was our first time in Thailand so we were unsure what to expect. After a short 20 minute ride from the airport, we were greeted with a gong, flower bracelets, cold towel and a refreshing drink. Rika checked us in and she was amazing the whole holiday we were there, so lovely and friendly (so were all the wonderful receptionists it must be said). We had to wait a little while for the villa but it was ready at 1.30pm, 90 minutes before official check-in time. The villa itself was truly wonderful. Private, mainly tranquil ( there is construction work nearby, it didn't bother us until the last day although drilling could be heard in the Alto at breakfast) with a fantastic pool. Super spacious, a fridge stocked with beer ( chargeable) and snacks. Great air con and nice separate toilet and shower area. Plus a huge freestanding bath. Massive sofa as well. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the friendly villa maid but she did a great job every day. We ate breakfast every day in the Alto where the ever smiling Nui served us, well assisted by Smile and Manny. Louise the lovely customer relations manager came to check in on us every day at breakfast and was very helpful and informative about the local area tips and tricks. We drank the complimentary cocktails between 5-6pm every night (villa benefit) where Park gave us amazing service. The location is slightly remote, courtesy bus 3 times a day to beach or town. 11am, 1 and 3pm. They can also bring you back if you book on. We used the Bolt app, £6 or approx 250THB in cash to pretty much anywhere in town or beach. Roughly same price back, prices do change due to the demand based pricing model but never paid more than 300THB. The 360 bar is a great setting and does happy hour between 7.30-8.30pm meaning you can get a decent priced cocktails. Buggies whizz you wherever you need to go. Everything runs pretty much like clockwork. You can even buy resort credit and get some free money. We spent 10000THB and got 2000THB added on to spend on drinks, food and the spa. Can't be carried over and must be used in current stay. All in all, The Pavilions is one of the best places I've ever stayed in, enhanced by the beauty of the villa setting. The hospitality is superb and is always done with a smile and graciousness from the wonderful team that makes your stay so special. If I could go back tomorrow, I would.
