The Pavilions Phuket in Phuket, Thailand

Moved by the raw beauty of the landscape, husband and wife team Gordon and Daniele Oldham built The Pavilions, Phuket with the intention of creating the ultimate environment for couples who want privacy in Asia’s most popular beach destination. Stylish Zen-inspired interiors in bold shades of black, white and red evoke romance, softened by indigenous fabrics and local art. A 40-foot private infinity pool is big enough for laps, but ideal for an intimate sunrise champagne toast.

Wake to sound of silence – rainforest surrounds you, and in the distance, waves lap the beach. Call for banana pancakes to be delivered to your villa. Float in your pool, looking up at a clear blue sky. Take a midday stroll through tranquil gardens inhabited by Buddha sculptures. Arrange a massage for two that starts with a scrub made from black sesame seeds and honey. Dine on duck confit in red curry lychee sauce as you enjoy 360-degree views of the sea.

excellent service, good mutual communication´╝î fantastic feeling. I lost my cellphone in taxi, and the hotel staff helped me to get it back. And the restaurant manager, who traveled and worked in many places and countries, is really kindness.

We stayed for 8-nights on this our 8th visit in our favorite Ocean View Villa and again enjoyed our wonderful stay. The villa is spacious with it's own infinity pool and lovely views of the sea and sunset. Everything was at is usually is. Comfy bed, good aircon, free wifi and bar area. Decent sized pool and sun loungers. With the addition of the Pavilion Suites and Firefly there is another food venue and pool to use, if you want to see other people. The addition of the gym and spa is great. Somewhere to get some exercise when it rained and I never did enjoy the in-room spa treatment so a dedicated spa space was great. Spa treatments are priced at 5* rates but they were offering some deals, As it was "rainy" season the resort was quiet and the suites are not yet well known. The food at Firefly was great and drinks reasonably priced and or par with places in other eateries in and around Laguna. Wine as usual is exorbitant - $50+ for a typically at home sub-$10 bottle. Food at Plantation Club is more Thai or International whereas Firefly is more grill/pizza based. They still have the 2-hrly shuttle bus to the beach and boat village. But the sean was too rough and the beach too dirty this time of year. Much better in dry season. A hotel car at Bt350 or taxi at Bt300-400 oneway trip can be arranged - still expensive in my view but that's the taxi mafia-cartel in Phuket (the still one unpleasant thing on the island). Will be back, at some point.

First of all, The staff here is Wonderful!!!! They go above and beyond to make you feel pleased and welcome. They are so kind and always checked if we needed anything. It was my wife and I first time in Phuket, we are glad we stayed here. Our Pool Villa was more amazing than what We expected, clean, beautiful and with a great view. Management & the Staff just simply made us feel special. The commodities are clean and it makes you feel in paradise. The Breakfast buffet was good and tasty and everyday was something different. The View from the 360 Bar is spectacular! A must see! The Chef Belinda is just simply AMAZING!!! She prepared a lovely Thai dinner for my wife and I and it was very Delicious!. She took the time out of her busy day to talk to us, gave us a few good recommendation of things to do around the island. She's the BEST! We are DEFINITELY coming back to this Hotel! Thank you J.P. & staff for such an amazing SERVICE!

Good points : 1. The whole hotel came across as clean and private - very peaceful surroundings 2. Overall quality of the room was good. 3. Pool was clean & just the right size (but the water feature and overflow should be switched on whole day - was only turned on when we requested for it to be turned on Down side : 1. The spa and pool villa we stayed in (villa 31) could do with some upgrade on some areas. Eg the glass panel at the patio that separates us from the adjoining unit - was not well laminated - there was a line coming down the bottom left side. 2. The day bed at the yard was fraying at the sides (paint peeling off) 3. The bathroom was too dim - especially with the black walls - made the place look very eerie n cold. 4. There was no mouth rinse in the bathroom

Beautiful hotel, amazing setting and location although very out of the way, staff are amazing and can't do enough, the food is outstanding, but.... I do have a few problems this sold to me as a stone throw from the beach and it is not it's a shuttle bus away which was advertised as every 10 mins and is not it's every 2 hours which feels very restricted, it's also advertised as non smoking even on here trip advisor but it's not, it's was also sold to us by voyage- prive as adults only resort and it's most definitely not, but an overall good holiday
