This was a great hotel and was made even better with a free upgrade to a suite. It was huge ! The staff were all very nice from security to reception. The place itself is gorgeous and not many better views from a pool looking out into the sea ! The only draw back is nightlife is a journey on a bike or a taxi ride but I still would recommend this place if you like it quiet.

Been here several years as "outside" customer. Been here for drinks, food, swimming and so on. Yesterday brought 5 my friends here for swim and grab drinks. Lady at restaurant told us they got new rule that each customer has to leave at least 400 bath bill before entering the pool. It was 11 clock in the morning and we already had eaten breakfest and so on. What we gonna do? Take 4-6 smoothies each so we can go for swim? Basicly 50 euros for us to take quick swim. Wow. Im amazed. Used to come here and the pool was full, good athmosphere.. now only 3 people at the pool 5 bartenders walking around and rather taking us in for couple drinks and swim they turned us around cause we couldnt decide how we gonna spend 400 bath each person.

Serenity might be one of the better resorts in the Rawai area. The rooms are nice and big and we stayed in first row, right next to the very nice pool area. The staff are generally very friendly and we especially had a nice time at the Christmas party. The food is fairly good, however pricy by Thai scale. The service in the restaurant was surprisingly poor and lacked attention, considering this is a 5 star hotel. A good example was when a waiter dropped a beer down my back during dinning: There was no sincere apology, no proper cleaning of the chair, no offering of dry cleaning of my clothing. On the other hand I later discovered I was charged full price for the beer! The location of the resort is honestly speaking not very nice and there are many much better areas on Phuket. To the one side the resort has a highly trafficked main road and there are very limited restaurants within walking distance. Facing the water the view is nice but there is no beach, only an extremely polluted swamp during low tide. The hotel offers a daily shuttle bus to a very nice beach only 15 minutes away. Apparently this offer is however only valid for up to 10 guests per day: If the bus is full they will not go twice and the remaining guests will just have to pay for their own cab. The price and service considered I can unfortunately only rates this resort to 3 stars (average).

My wife and I stayed at Serenity for a week over Christmas. The resort is clean, well manicured and offers a nice breakfast. Unfortunately, it falls shorts in other areas. Mainly the location, the resort is very secluded, but not in a good way. It is on a busy highway and has very few food options close by. Which wouldn’t be a problem, except the food and drinks menu at Serenity is limited and expensive. Because of this, we left the resort each day for lunch and dinner. Also the resort isn’t couple friendly. There were a lot of children, I would estimate 90% of guests had a child under the age of 12 with them. This made it difficult to relax by the pool with a lot of noise and commotion going on. The silver lining to the terrible location was that we found a really great Italian restaurant called Sottovento, it’s a 5 minute walk from the resort. Also a short walk down the beach at the kite surfing hire store there is a family run restaurant/bar which is basic but delicious and well priced. Taxi’s & Tuk Tuk’s in Phuket are tightly price controlled so even a 5 minute trip can be expensive, luckily there is a reasonably priced car/scooter hire shop directly across the road from the resort. The resort offers a free shuttle to Patong on certain nights, which does open your dinner options significantly. Just be warned it is a 1.5hr trip to Patong in traffic. Our stay overall was average, although it is peak season, the room rate was far from cheap so we expected more than what was delivered. For this reason, we would not choose to return. Good points: Nice Breakfast Clean & Modern Gym is top quality Some staff went above & beyond Shuttle bus to Patong Bad points: Location Price of food & drinks Limited food menu Beach is polluted and not pretty Noise by the pool Some staff weren’t friendly

Myself and my partner stayed here for four nights in November 2016 and it was by far the best hotel that either of us have stayed in. Everything is great from the amazing staff (especially Gee) to the idyllic views of Ko Lon, the beautiful penthouse suite that we were upgraded to on arrival, gorgeous beach side pool and the fabulous food & cocktails. We stayed in a number of different hotels and locations in Thailand on this trip and Serenity made it so memorable. We will definitely be coming to stay again soon :)
