About the Hotel

Perched high atop Cape Panwa, villas at Sri Panwa feel like tropical rainforest tree houses – on three sides, glass windows reveal a panoramic expanse of the Andaman Sea and a terrace infinity pool melts into the horizon. A white sand beach invites long lounging days at the bottom of the craggy hillside, while at the very top a sexy rooftop bar beckons with the perfect sundowner cocktail. If a postcard of paradise could be three dimensional, this is what it would look like.

Not Luxury

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 10 hours ago

Pros - super attentive staff and problems are resolved quickly - Great views from room (see photos) - Huge private pool (though most is in the shade) - Outdoor hot tub Cons - Not 'luxury' as the hotel name implies - old worn furniture in most rooms (see photos). We were moved somewhere better very quickly after complaining but it feels very much like the best room in an old three star hotel. - Huge service charges and taxes - No beach - Villas so close together that you can hear families with children next door (we haven't extended our stay for this reason) - Restaurants and food are poor - no western breakfast (sausages/bacon etc), the stake house we eat at was glum to say the least. I'm actually leaving this place to get on a plane with diarrhea - Poor value for money compared to other resorts at this price point (JW, Four Seasons, Ritz etc)

Luxury Meets the Sea

I had the greatest honor and pleasure hosting a wedding in this luxurious resort and our experience with Sri Panwa was an absolute magic! The ceremony was held on the glass view deck overlooking the beauty of Phuket beach. Cocktails followed at the Sunset Lounge where everyone enjoyed the cocktails and snacks while watching in awe of the beautiful sunset. Dinner followed at the hall and the food were phenomenal - a fashion of Asian and Western delicacies, nothing was put to waste! I highly commend the staff for being so accommodating and helpful. As one of the guests, I truly felt the high level of professionalism in each one of them. I’m definitely going back.

A peaceful, luxurious stay I’ll never forget

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I stayed two nights at Sri Panwa in a luxury one-bedroom villa, and overall it was a truly memorable experience. The price is very high so the expectations are of course too. The staff were remarkable, genuinely helpful, warm, and attentive without being intrusive. From arrival to departure, the service felt sincere and professional, which made a big difference. The villa itself was absolutely amazing. Beautifully designed, extremely private, and incredibly peaceful, exactly what I was looking for. The view was stunning and created a sense of calm that stayed with me throughout the stay. Waking up and ending the day with that scenery is something I won’t forget. Baba Nest deserves a special mention for its sunset views, simply breathtaking. Watching the sun go down from there was one of the highlights of the trip. That said, the food experience felt a bit too “Friday family dining” for my personal taste, considering the exclusivity and atmosphere of the place. A point worth mentioning is the constant confirmation of booked time slots. I completely understand the need to plan staffing, but receiving around five messages to confirm a checkout time that I had already booked myself felt unnecessarily stressful rather than helpful. That said, these points did not take away from the overall experience. Sri Panwa is undeniably a five-star property, offering privacy, tranquility, stunning views, and exceptional staff. How it compares to the competition, I’m not entirely sure, but it is a place I’ll always remember, and I’m very glad I experienced it. Highly recommended if you’re seeking peace, privacy, and natural beauty in a luxury setting.

Stunning Property with Breathtaking Views, But Health Concerns and Service Inconsistencies Dimmed the Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Sri Panwa is undeniably beautiful—the panoramic views, luxurious villas, and overall design create a premium, exclusive atmosphere that’s hard to match in Phuket. Certain staff members truly shone: Nouna made breakfast feel special every morning, and Tian was exceptionally helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The grounds and facilities are impeccable, and the on-site dining (especially the sushi) was excellent. That said, several serious issues impacted our health and enjoyment significantly. On our first night, my wife contracted rotavirus (confirmed by hospital diagnosis), requiring an overnight hospital stay that cost us approximately $1,500 and two full days of our vacation. The hotel staff initially assisted with their on-site clinic referral, but upon her return, when informed of the rotavirus diagnosis, the response was simply, “Oh good, we thought it was food poisoning”—with no further follow-up, apology, or gesture of support offered. Given that rotavirus is a foodborne/waterborne illness, this lack of concern felt dismissive. Compounding this, both my wife and I experienced ongoing respiratory symptoms (congestion, poor sleep, irritated sinuses) throughout the stay. We noticed a mild mildew odor in the villa upon closer inspection. Remarkably, within hours of checking out and leaving the property, both of our symptoms improved dramatically—nasal passages cleared, sleep quality surged, and energy returned. This strongly suggests an indoor air quality issue that affected us more than we realized at the time. Smaller service inconsistencies added to the frustration at this price point: promised items (extra bananas, ice cream to-go) never arrived despite confirmations; checkout time was originally approved for 1 PM, then reduced to 12:30 PM the night before, and staff knocked at noon to hurry us out; complimentary caramel tea at breakfast incurred a charge when requested later in the day. Every item felt meticulously billed, plus a 10% service charge and 7% tax on top of already premium pricing (8-10x typical Phuket rates). The overall impression is that the property is optimized for long-term residents, with hotel guests treated as secondary—maximizing revenue rather than hospitality. In hindsight, while the beauty and certain staff made moments memorable, the health impacts alone mean we would not return or recommend without assurance that air quality and guest wellness protocols have been addressed. We hope this detailed feedback helps elevate the experience for future visitors. Management is welcome to contact us directly regarding this stay. Rating: 2/5 (would have been 4/5 based on aesthetics and select staff alone)

The hotel is FANTASTIC with a beautiful setting, incredible food, and wonderful staff. Gym is modern and large. Spa is awesome. Swimming pool is also a lap pool. It is on its own little peninsula so is private and protected. All the rooms have great ocean views. Finally, I highly recommend the Mojitos – the best I have ever had, anywhere. We will definitely return.
