Sri Panwa in Phuket, Thailand

Perched high atop Cape Panwa, villas at Sri Panwa feel like tropical rainforest tree houses – on three sides, glass windows reveal a panoramic expanse of the Andaman Sea and a terrace infinity pool melts into the horizon. A white sand beach invites long lounging days at the bottom of the craggy hillside, while at the very top a sexy rooftop bar beckons with the perfect sundowner cocktail. If a postcard of paradise could be three dimensional, this is what it would look like.

Slip into the cool water of your infinity pool directly from bed. On the horizon, verdant islands shimmer in the sun. Take a mid-morning nap on the deck as tropical birds rustle in the trees. Spend the rest of the afternoon lounging at the Pool Club, one of CNN International's top two beach bars in the world. Feast on a Chinese fondue-style hotpot with a table of friends before dancing til daybreak at Baba88.

We Stay in Ocean View Suite this time but we prefer 1 bedroom pool villa that we used to stay in last two years. Food is average. Breakfast could be more variety. Baba Nest has a stunning view and should go there around 5 pm to see the beautiful sunset. They have an exceptional service, well trained staff. Traveling to the islands can be arranged from the hotel. We hire a private long tail boat which is very convenient and comfortable. We will definitely go back again.

Really nice luxury hotels with good services. Enjoyed the time here. Restaurants provide good food although I wish they have more than 1 Thai restaurant (I don't come to Thailand for Japanese food) Cons: a little bit remote and a little pricy

We checked in and staffs show us the map for resort facilities and say "oh but u couldn't go there/ do there it has to pre-booking before since u book the room with us" so we missed out anything that been told special and good of this place like their baba nest sunset etc .... so we ended up spending time in our room mostly but the room has amazing breath taken view and free minibar with comfy bed and sofa and salt pool so we quite happy in our room. The resort has promotion of try 5 restaurants will get discount 40% when check out ... we started our first outlet then at dinner we wanted to go to another then again "sorry we are fully booked" - so we ended up stay in 5stars room but cup noodle meal while staying mostly and quite starving. The staffs is very useful and helpful, thanks for taking care of us and the complimentary sparking wine.

Sri Panwa is a huge resort. 80 Rai . (x by 1600 sq m to get an idea). The staff are very friendly and once checked in, you and your fellow stayers will have your faces known a every outlet. So its also very safe as outsiders will be noted at once. You get around by calling for a tuk tuk. Pool Suite We stayed at pool suite the first night. Its in the main building. There's turndown service. Decent small pool to enjoy with your partner. The jacuzzi bit is only 3 min, so you need to keep on pressing the button. View is a bit obscured by trees. You can see the pool from the pool. We were at room PS 21. The blinds are automatic so it does make a sound if you want to raise it when yr partner is sleeping. Everything in the fridge is free. Great bed. Luxury Villa one bedroom 230 sq m. Its okay only if you get this room that you truly feel you are at the Ari Panwa and the amount of money you paid is worth it. The view and the room is what you saw in the brochure and internet. Nice wraparound pool. Living room and bedroom to s separate. There's a sauna and a huge I jacuzzi for two. Two toilets and two shower points. Three us you count the outside shower point for when you get out if the pool. Worth the money. Interesting things i noted Breakfast is great. Good variety of local and international dishes. Live the scrambled eggs. The toast is done perfectly the first time. No need to run it in the machine again. Coffee takes 15 minutes to arrive. not acceptable if you need a caffeine fix fast. Ask for west facing view . its nicer than east facing i feel.

From the time you check in until you check out, you experience a true sense of luxury. The quality of the rooms can be felt in not only the design and amenities but also the technology in the rooms (automated controls, AV systems incl ipods). The staff were all friendly, polite and always had a smile. As a professional hotelier, you appreciate good talent and team culture. I could immediately recognize that the staff have been trained well. Most staff spoke fluent English and were always on the alert to guests' needs. Even my wife who is Thai was quick to point out in the verbiage used by the airport representative and receptionist- great training! Also even though the resort is spread apart, their communication and co-ordination via radios was effective and timely. My special commendation to Patrick (Asst Restaurant/FB Manager) for his friendliness and for going above and beyond to our needs and for always checking on us. You could see him taking ownership in operations even though he is quite new to the team. The only feedback I would give is: - spread the team in the pool areas to allow more space to the guests. Sometimes, I felt there were too many colleagues in and around the pool. - upon check-out, our luggage took a bit of time to arrive to the reception building (approx over 20 mins). However, this did not shadow our experience but I would investigate why this happened when you have such a high uncompromising quality overall.
