Sri Panwa in Phuket, Thailand

Perched high atop Cape Panwa, villas at Sri Panwa feel like tropical rainforest tree houses – on three sides, glass windows reveal a panoramic expanse of the Andaman Sea and a terrace infinity pool melts into the horizon. A white sand beach invites long lounging days at the bottom of the craggy hillside, while at the very top a sexy rooftop bar beckons with the perfect sundowner cocktail. If a postcard of paradise could be three dimensional, this is what it would look like.

Slip into the cool water of your infinity pool directly from bed. On the horizon, verdant islands shimmer in the sun. Take a mid-morning nap on the deck as tropical birds rustle in the trees. Spend the rest of the afternoon lounging at the Pool Club, one of CNN International's top two beach bars in the world. Feast on a Chinese fondue-style hotpot with a table of friends before dancing til daybreak at Baba88.

Friday business at this location is almost like not working at all. Great view, friendly staff, nice food and beverage menus here. Location is only minus but totally worth to get here. Nice pool area also with infinity pool.

We love the vibe of the resort, relaxing, lots of pool area and beautiful decor. Our room had an amazing view looking out to the ocean and it was spacious and the bed was nice and big. We also enjoyed the breakfast, good mix of local and western food, fresh juices and champagne! And Baba Nest - breathtaking heavenly views, an absolute must-do! The staff are generally friendly and smiley. However, as we paid a premium to stay, we really expected that it would be more luxurious. I hope the hotel can improve on the following: 1) Better toilet amenities - They were not really up to a 5star resort standard. We had shower gel and shampoo in those shared big bottles and when we opened it up it wasn't exactly the cleanest so we didn't use it. The shower cap smelt like pesticide and the mini toothpaste had a really weird smell too. Bathroom is very clean but the shower head needs a proper cleaning! 2) 2 days before we arrived, we were notified by the hotel, not allowing us to stay in the Ocean View Suite as we have my 5 month old infant with me. They said it's adults only, but our booking via Agoda said nothing like this. So parents please TAKE NOTE! Quite troubling to deal with this on our first trip with baby!

The whole arrival experience was good and well managed. We stayed in a Family Villa with Pool and Sea View (FS01-1), we had a wonderful view of the Marine Station Pier and Dock, wonderful for a Luxury Villa! The villa (not a villa just a large room) was very comfortable and well stocked with everything you needed for your stay. The maid service was very good we complained about one or two things (basically an oversight) which was corrected immediately. The housekeeping room maid was good. If you wanted to go most places within the resort you called a buggy as it was very hilly, not somewhere for anyone with a walking disability We had a Butler who we saw probably twice during our stay, if we wanted anything we called reception as our 'Butler' never checked with us to see if everything was OK or not! We paid in advance directly with the hotel (108,000 baht) and on check-in we were told that it was mandatory to pay a deposit of 5,000 baht per night and we were staying for 5 nights and had to deposit 25,000 baht in cash or by credit card, nowhere is this mentioned even on the confirmation of booking? We only spent about 7,000 baht of the 25,000 baht that we deposited with tem and up to now 10 days later the balance still has not been credited to our account! Breakfast had a good selection of Asian and Western Food, the main dish you ordered in the 5 times we went they only got our order correct once! The staff tried their hardest but were very inexperienced, basically trainee's, definitely not Luxury Service that we were paying for! Would we go back again, probably yes as it was very relaxing and we were lucky with the weather. During the check-out process we mention the above complaint to Geovanni and he said that the deposit was not mandatory and in respect of service in the Poolside Breakfast Restaurant they had had recent complaints and that he would mention our complaints to management, to date we have not received communications from the hotel.

What you see is what you get, indeed Sri Panwa did deliver it's promise which is providing excellent sea view, excellent service, private beach, amazing pool and also fantastic foods. Me and my girlfriend checked into Sri Panwa Private Villa (PV07) on 28th Oct 2017, we spent 2 nights there. We were greeted by the reception upon arrival, they're very friendly they speak excellent English and Chinese as well. We were also greeted by our own butler named Jack. Jack is a great guy, helpful, friendly and sincere. Our villa is direct sea view and it's really spectacular. I've been to many resorts in Phuket so far this is the best view. The villa is spacious and offers full amenities. There's an infinity pool in front our room which makes you want to dip into it everyday. You will feel like you're staying in a high end luxurious villa. The breakfast buffet is amazing, the spreads and variety are good. They also have choices of coffee to ease your coffee caffeine urge. We had our lunch and dinner at Baba Pool Club and The Habitat which was great. They serve variety of western, thai, japanese and chinese cuisine. So you don't have to worry about your taste bud choices. As I mentioned above, almost perfect it's because during my stay I didn't locked the front gate of my villa and I only lock my doors. Someone entered my villa without permission and without using door bell. It's an old lady which do not speak proper Thai and can't speak English at all. She's carrying her grandson and wandering around my lawn. I was so shocked and asked her to leave, when I try to call the reception she ran away. I've send my feedback to the reception yet until now there's no response over this incident. I hope the management will look into it and make sure in future there won't be such things happen again. I attached the picture of the old lady and grandson as proof. For those who visit Sri Panwa please lock the front gate and not only the doors. Else you might expecting some "guests". If there's not much of privacy, it should not be called as Private Villa anymore. If the above incident didn't happened I will rate Sri Panwa is the best resort.
