The Surin Phuket

Friends have been going to The Surin for 15+ years. Three years ago, I overlapped with their trip. I had such a wonderful time, I have now been back for three years running. There are so many positives; beautiful setting, beautifully appointed cottages, amazing breakfast, terrific spa treatments, helpful- engaging staff, accessible management checking everything is running smoothly. The hotel has been in operation for decades and seems to continue to improve all elements of the resort. One of the benefits of this hotel is that you can eat at the hotel restaurants or take a short walk to local restaurants.

What an amazing stay we had at The Surin Phuket. Our cottage was immaculate and every need met. The service impeccable - every staff member had a smile and was very accommodating. The resort itself beautiful, clean, and quiet and relaxing. The food was amazing - everything fresh and delicious. The views and surrounding area were gorgeous and we had a wonderful week swimming in the crystal clear water of the private beach and pool. Truly a wonderful vacation!

7th or 8th stay at The Surin Phuket and we still like it a lot. Surin Beach is still a "quiet" zone of Phuket and the hotel has a wonderful beach - and they take care of it. The staff is amazing, really. Kate and Nut at the front office, Dada, Kitty, Mild, Mhun at the breakfast/restaurant, Ming at the Beach. Rooms are often renewed and are isolated one from another giving some good privacy. This time we stayed in room 117 for 8 nights - and very nice room, quiet and sunny as we like (thank you Nut and Kate for the choice) :) If you can, do not hesitate to spend a few days there - this is very very different from what you see in other areas of the island where it gets really crowded and not fun at all (in my view). I wish the hotel can keep its privacy in the future despite a lot of constructions growing in the area and in Phuket in general. Let's hope it is not too late because the hotel and its staff deserve your visit...

My husband. and I spent 5 nights here ,; we were looking for a quiet place with a nice private beach not crowded , which, we were told, being very rare in Phuket -Searching on the net we found that The Surin might meet our expectations and so we asked the travel agency who organised our trip to Laos and Thailand to book it . We actually were a little perplexed because we try to avoid big resorts like The Surin but we must say that the experience didn’t disappoint us , On the contrary it was beyond our expectations : we wanted a quiet room and room 221 was perfectly isolated - it was big enough for 2 people , very clean and with all the amenities you need -we appreciated the two hats , the flip flops and the beach bag in addition to the to the usual slippers -the room was reachable by quite a lot of steps which was a good activity but if you don’t want to use the stairs the buggy service is very very quick . We loved the ’private ‘ beach , which was never crowded and in a lovely bay : the sea was fantastic : the temperature so nice that you could stay in the water all day - the service at beach provided deckchairs and umbrella which are yours for all your stay -the staff there is caring and serves you cold water and a sort o snack every day . Breakfast was the highlight : superb for variety and quality ; we had dinner in all the restaurants available for the five nights and food was very good - Our idea was to take advantage of the trips to other islands like Phi Phi but we loved so much the relaxing atmosphere of the Surin that we decided to stay there. Fabulous beach and lovely rooms with kind and attentive service. Two downsides though - very steep and narrow steps so relay have to concentrate to get around the hotel and I would not stay here with young kids or elderly people ; and expensive food offering especially the bbq night although the food and service were good.
