The Surin Phuket

My husband. and I spent 5 nights here ,; we were looking for a quiet place with a nice private beach not crowded , which, we were told, being very rare in Phuket -Searching on the net we found that The Surin might meet our expectations and so we asked the travel agency who organised our trip to Laos and Thailand to book it . We actually were a little perplexed because we try to avoid big resorts like The Surin but we must say that the experience didn’t disappoint us , On the contrary it was beyond our expectations : we wanted a quiet room and room 221 was perfectly isolated - it was big enough for 2 people , very clean and with all the amenities you need -we appreciated the two hats , the flip flops and the beach bag in addition to the to the usual slippers -the room was reachable by quite a lot of steps which was a good activity but if you don’t want to use the stairs the buggy service is very very quick . We loved the ’private ‘ beach , which was never crowded and in a lovely bay : the sea was fantastic : the temperature so nice that you could stay in the water all day - the service at beach provided deckchairs and umbrella which are yours for all your stay -the staff there is caring and serves you cold water and a sort o snack every day . Breakfast was the highlight : superb for variety and quality ; we had dinner in all the restaurants available for the five nights and food was very good - Our idea was to take advantage of the trips to other islands like Phi Phi but we loved so much the relaxing atmosphere of the Surin that we decided to stay there. Fabulous beach and lovely rooms with kind and attentive service. Two downsides though - very steep and narrow steps so relay have to concentrate to get around the hotel and I would not stay here with young kids or elderly people ; and expensive food offering especially the bbq night although the food and service were good.

I had yet another fantastic 18 night stay at The Surin in January 2026, and once again it exceeded all expectations. The hotel has a unique and calming atmosphere, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. From the moment you arrive, you feel genuinely welcome and part of The Surin family. My room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Everything at the resort is clearly well thought out, which makes the experience feel authentic and special. The staff deserve special praise — they are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. They took such good care of me throughout my stay. Thank you so much! 🙏☺️ Cleanliness is outstanding everywhere: the room, pool area, restaurants, restrooms — everything shines. There’s even a signature scent throughout the property that adds to the charm. The restaurants are exceptional. There’s great menu variety, and the food quality is consistently high. The service is warm and professional, always delivered with a smile. I have absolutely nothing negative to say. I give The Surin my highest recommendations and truly hope to return in 2027. 🙏😊

Having travelled around Thailand for the past 20 years, I have experienced good & bad. This hotel is definitely up there with the good. Probably best beach I have experienced in Thailand. Love the idea that when you pick a sunbed round the pool or beach its yours for the whole stay. However I would say we upgraded our room to a Beachfront suite, the view is stunning but the room was quite small for what it costs. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Other than these two points a beautiful hotel.

The Surin Phuket feels like you're on a private island owned by a billionaire. It has an air of exclusivity reserved for only the uber wealthy, with those super yachts & water craft moored out front for the duration of our stay. It has a private beach, reserved for The Surin guests, shared only with the ultra exclusive Aman hotel next door and the beach has some of the whitest sand and bluest ocean we have ever seen. No filters needed. This place looks like paradise. The kind of paradise you never want to leave. Then there are the rooms. Well, those villas are kind of funny at first because they're small and cosy. We felt like we had just been checked into a little tree house. But, they definitely grew on us. It was just all about that beach. That beautiful exclusive, quiet beach. The first thing you saw from your little villa when you woke up and the last thing you heard at night as you went to sleep. Pure heaven on earth! It was the best holiday we've had. We can't wait to return.
