Three important things you need to know about the Surin Phuket: First, what you see in the photos does not do the property justice. The exquisite ambiance and accommodations will FAR exceed your expectations. You truly feel the exclusivity - as if you’re on your own private island, staying in a luxurious, culture-rich suite, fit for royalty. Second, the remarkable property does not hold a candle to the level of service you will experience working with the Surin Phuket Team. Accommodating, experienced, thoughtful, and diligent are words I would use to describe my engagement with the staff. I felt at is everyone was here simply to make my stay even more memorable. Third, there are a lot of resort options in Phuket, in my opinion, the Surin Phuket is the best. This resort is five star for a reason. PS - Few recommendations: -schedule the candlelight private dinner on the beach !!! A must-have culinary experience. -select the car service to transport you to/from the airport. A stress-free, comfortable, and efficient drive -schedule as many Signature Massages as you can fit in, so relaxing !!

We thought the Surin was a great place. We were a bit surprised at what it cost to be beach front, so selected a Hillside room instead. We found that it was a great room even if not beachfront. The staff was amazingly helpful with any request. The beach is beautiful. It takes a day or so to adjust with jet lag and finding where things are, etc. but all was really great. We enjoyed the property spa / massage, but also enjoyed the beach massage as well. It was nice to have water sport opportunities on property as well. We highly recommend the Surin.

Stayed for 3 days in November. Got the complimentary room / cottage upgrade which was very much appreciated (so we could see the sea and only a short walk). Loved the pool and loved the beach. Breakfast were very good and staff very friendly and accommodating. Easily my favourite hotel in Phuket.

We had a great time - amazing views, room, weather. The people who sell drinks on the beach were fantastic (they’re separate to the hotel). The staff at the hotel were great too. Our only complaint was this particular family who were soooooo noisy. Shouting across the beach and the pool with no consideration for other guests. Once in a life time trip for us and it put a bit of a dampener on it. We couldn’t really complain to the parents as we thought they wouldn’t take too kindly to it. Other people said they were annoyed by it too. No issues with any other families - lots of great kids. Honestly, nothing against kids - but this was excessive!! Parents didn’t seem to care!! We ended up moving a lot and could still hear them!

We really loved our stay at the Surin. We chose a beach studio suite. Good size for a couple, a tad small for traveling with a baby, but still enjoyable. Would probably have chosen the larger size beach unit in hindsight. Standout items: - Breakfast is amazing. Great view of the pool. The beach units have a different breakfast than the non-beach units. - Sorn, the babysitter, is great and inexpensive enough that you can hire her all day every day, and get some couples time without baby. - The beach has really soft sand and the water is warm like bathwater. Shallow enough for kids and water isn't rough. Good free equipment (hobie cat, standup paddle boards, kayaks etc). Fairly private, separated from the main public beach by a rocky outcrop. - Staff are really nice and responsive. They were able to set us up with mosquito nets (though there weren't any in the room, just on the patio), crib, and baby bottle sterilizer. - Free snacks and beers in beach suites. Makes hanging out on your own patio that much nicer. - Went during peak season and it didn't feel too crowded. There were still beach chairs available. Less ideal: - As others have said, there are a LOT of stairs. We're young and fit and felt that way. We ended up walking along the beach to the restaurants. But if you're in one of the hillside cottages, it would be hike to the beach and restaurants. - The spa is not particularly special. - Shower door is made of wood, so you can naturally see some water damage/mold - Small TV - we never used it. Something to think about: - Because they are individual cottages, when it rains, you are sort of stuck in your own cottage if you don't want to brave the rain to the main building. It happened to us one night and we ordered room service and it was all good, but during rainy season, you might want to get a bigger room so you don't feel boxed in.
