Thavorn Beach Village & Spa

Lovely stay at Thavorn with family and friends. We stayed in a beachfront cottage, waking up next to the sea was really lovely. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Food was also good (particularly breakfast). Our favourite place for drinks (at anytime of the day haha) was crocodile grill, very nice at night with all of the fairy lights, Jan was our waitress most days, she made us feel very comfortable and well cared for. Kop khun kha!

My family and I stayed at this hotel in January and always dined at Marissa restaurant. The food there was delicious and the service was excellent, especially from staff members Paula and Peachii. We'll be back.

The team is amazing welcoming and always kind and helpful. Jane is the best waitress always kind. The garden is beautiful with amazing tree and flowers

Located near Kamala beach area on a small private strip of beach at Naka, Thavorn Beach Village has a good location with beachfront cottages and garden villas and pool villas and hilltop villas. The advantage fades, the moment you walk into the property. The girl at the reception dropped by passport twice on the ground - took full 20 minutes to check us in without bothering to highlight the resorts facilities. She said her colleague would guide us to the garden villa. We went to the foyer and sat down in one of the golf carts to ferry us and our luggage and kept waiting for full 20 minutes before getting furious. The bellboys kept repeating like parrots - please wait for 5 minutes. Finally after an explosion we were ferried to the cottage. There ended our brief admiration of the resort. The resort has been constructed thoughtfully but needs renovation and having stayed at Anantara Pool Villas, they are nothing - absolutely nothing with very bad service. During our entire stay for 3 nights, we were approached for our needs, like we did not exist. Nobody acknowledged us, nobody nodded nobody smiled. Very poor service indeed. The breakfast was mediocre and nothing to boast about except the orange juice ! Our check out was also disastrous with two guys at the reception failing to check us out for a full 20 minutes without having any work at 6 am in the morning. Again the bellboy left our luggage in the porch and disappeared for our taxi driver to lift the bags into the airport transfer. Please do not visit this resort, you will feel dejected and depressed. There are hundreds of other options in Phuket

Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa is promoted as a 5* resort. This is a clear misrepresentation! My boyfriend and I spent a week in Phuket and made the regrettable mistake of booking at the Thavorn. We've been to 500+ hotels combined and this is by far one of our worst experiences, not because one mishap but because of repeated neglect, sanitation failures, and broken promises, ESPECIALLY for a hotel that advertises itself as a 5*. The main issues we faced were the following: 1) Check-in & Service Extremely long and inefficient check-in Our luggage were delivered to our room after 30+ minutes, after we had to tell them to bring them over How is this a 5-star hospitality? 2) Cleanliness & Housekeeping (looking at other negative review, this seems to be a common issue) Our room was dirty on arrival 4 days of no real housekeeping despite nightly complaints: No new towels Bed half reset Same dirt on the floor every day 3) Water & Plumbing (a huge health & sanitation hazard) the water from the faucet was brown the toilet were not flushed poorly or not at all 4) Breakfast Buffet average quality, the items were defrosted and presented as fresh and the dishes were diluted with water to increase volume (I saw someone from the kitchen adding water in a number of pans at the buffet) 5) Wi-Fi It worked 1 out of 3 times and was very unreliable enough that we had to rely on personal mobile data 6) Post-checkout Shower Room (after checking out, we had the option to use a shower room to freshen up before headed to the airport): it was clearly not a room for customers (I suspect it was a room for the housekeeping staff?) there were towels everywhere, opened bags of crisps, and other food and trash not cleared Just plain unsanitary and disrespectful. 7) Gym It was closed for 2 full days with no notice until the day of... The equipment was damaged and disorganized eg. the weights were never re-racked, no towels or disinfectant to wipe off sweat, thankfully I brought my own sanitary wipes to clean before and after myself but I saw several people who were just using without cleaning. Gross. The Management's response was EXTREMELY disappointing. We raised our concerns directly with the hotel staff every night - the staff was very unprofessional, they were dismissive, ignored the requests, and took zero accountability. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR RUN AWAY! There's SO many nice hotels in Phuket, and I truly regret not doing more thorough diligence.
