They were genuinely helpful, warm, and made sure we had everything we needed with the biggest smiles. where do I even start! We stayed at Thavorn Beach Village as a family and honestly had the most incredible experience. We would come back here a million times over! The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The gardens are AMAZING and the whole property feels so lush, peaceful and special. There is so much space and everywhere you walk there is something beautiful to look at. We chose the Lagoon Pool Access connecting family rooms and they were honestly the BEST rooms for our family. We loved the beautiful traditional Thai style and being able to step straight out to the lagoon pool was just incredible. The beds were so comfortable, the rooms were cleaned beautifully every single day, everything was constantly refilled, and the housekeeping staff always made sure we had everything we needed. One of our favourite experiences was having dinner at the Crocodile Bar at night. We had the most AMAZING steak and seafood bucket, and all of the cocktails were absolutely delicious! 🍹 The atmosphere at night was beautiful. But what really made this hotel so special was the staff. Everyone was so warm, kind and welcoming and genuinely went above and beyond for us. A HUGE special thank you to Joom, Film and Kate at the Crocodile Bar. You were absolutely amazing and looked after our family so beautifully. You made our nights there so much fun and made us feel so welcome. The service throughout the entire resort has honestly been incredible. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble and we felt so looked after from the moment we arrived. We genuinely do not want to leave. 😭❤️ This has been such a beautiful family holiday and Thavorn Beach Village has been a massive part of making it so special. If you are considering staying here, BOOK IT. We would stay here again and again and again. Absolutely one of our favourite resort experiences ever. How the Tactic Works The Policy: The booking terms allow you to modify dates without a cancellation fee, provided rooms are available and you cover any rate difference. Booking.com gives the hotel a 24-hour window to approve the modification. The Stall: Even when rooms are visibly available and you agree to pay the difference, the property ignores the 24-hour confirmation request. The Deflection: Calling the resort’s reservations team yields no results. Staff claim they need to "check with management," and never respond to booking.com, and refuse to process the change. The Outcome: Because they stonewall you until your original check-in date arrives, you forfeit the entire payment on your existing booking. If you still need the room on the new dates, you are forced to pay all over again for a brand-new reservation, allowing the property to collect twice. What to Do If You Book Here Never assume good faith on date changes: Do not rely on flexible change terms with this hotel. If your travel dates might shift, only book fully refundable rates that you can cancel independently without requiring the hotel's sign-off. Escalate to Booking.com immediately: If the hotel does not respond within the mandatory 24 hours, contact platform support right away and demand they force the modification or step in before check-in day arrives. Get everything in writing: Avoid wasting hours on the phone with the resort's reservations desk. Keep a timestamped record of available inventory and submitted requests to support a dispute with your payment provider if the hotel pockets your money while violating platform policies.

My friends and I had a great time at Thavorn. The room was bigger than I thought, the food was good, activities like stretching was a plus, and the staff were very friendly, Siro and Panne helped at checkout with a big smile. Thanks everyone.
