A Dream Destination!!

Great room & great service from Paula! Spectacular views from our beach front villa. Many activities to do on the property and excursions close by. The restaurant food was delicious and in the morning there is a breakfast buffet with foods to accommodate all different cultures. The resort is rather secluded and quiet which we enjoyed, perhaps because this is the off season. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommended accommodation for those who want to relax and escape the rat race. We got a pool room which was fantastic! The staff are all extremely friendly and warm. I would avoid the internal taxi service that isn't attached to the resort but there for convenience. They're a rip off and charge extortionate prices! Download the Bolt App, that saved us so much money. This is also the same for the activities service, I decided to google the attractions and book direct which saved me 50% of what they were charging. The little animals that you can interact with are an added bonus, however parents please watch your kids and don't let them run feral scaring the baby animals, they become very distressed. The private beach is a bonus and the pool is fantastic. However there are no toilets around the pool area, so you will work out pretty quickly where everyone is doing their business. All in all, I would come back to this place as it was very relaxing and beautiful! The gardens are out of this world 🌎 😍

Ignored and Disappointed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Overall, after expecting a luxurious and relaxing stay, I was severely underwhelmed and disappointed with the way I was treated, seemingly because I was a young adult and not a rich family of 4. As a 25 year old women, traveling with another 25 year old women friend, I have never felt more unwelcome at a resort than at Tharvorn. The facilities are beautiful, and the resort itself is very nice and everything you would expect, however the policies of the resort/ some of the staff really let us down. Throughout the entirety of our stay we watched families and other guests be waited on hand and foot while we were pushed aside… After waiting 3 hours in the lobby to check in, we were not given a welcome drink/gift, most likely due to the larger family waiting to check in behind us.. we can empathize when staff are busy, but not when we are just blatantly ignored. We were also told that because we did not want we did not want to pay $70AUD for the bbq dinner crocodile bar on Saturday Night, we were not allowed to order anything else off the menu or able sit at the restaurant. After frankly begging for a Pizza, we were allowed but only if we had takeaway in our room or if we ate 10 meters away from the restaurant on pool chairs in the dark. Which is pretty unacceptable. After spending a lot of money to treat ourselves after a long and wonderful trip to Thailand, I am feeling in need of another resort stay to relax and unwind from this one. If you’re under 30, I would strongly recommend not to stay here. I’ve been treated better hostels.

Home away from home

Paula is the best she makes us feel So at home . Hotel hospitality was great too. Rooms could do with some fixing and upgrade. However, overall an amazing experience . Much to do on the grounds as well and huge gardens to explore. Kids wil have a good time at the petting zoo. While parents watch on too . Pools are vast too
