Stayed here for 4 nights. Staff are very nice and welcoming. Osiel in particular was an awesome person very sweet, professional and hands down displayed some of the best work ethic I’ve seen from hotel staff.

My wife and I recently returned from a stay at Banyan Tree, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Roi, our resort host, was exceptional and truly elevated our visit. The location is stunning, and the facilities and services were top-notch. We appreciated the variety of dining options, with Saffron being our favorite. The live music at Cello added a lovely touch to the evenings. When our trip had to be cut short due to weather, the resort was very accommodating in providing a credit, which we greatly appreciated. We will definitely return and highly recommend Banyan Tree.

We had stayed at the Banyan Tree Mayakoba 14 years ago, and our recent 6-day stay was every bit as wonderful as we remember. Our concierge, Sonia, was attentive and helpful in making dinner reservations, sourcing distilled water for a CPAP machine and answering any of our questions. Seidee was just as helpful during Sonia’s days off. One of us has limited mobility, and all the staff were excellent at accommodating our needs, including lending us a wheelchair. Both the breakfast buffet and the seaside à la carte restaurant were fantastic. We were always so full that we didn’t need lunch. Dinners were exquisite. The Italian, Thai and Mexican restaurants were all equally delicious. There’s no doubt that the menu prices are astronomical, but we didn’t have a single dish that we didn’t love. And the service was impeccable. There are bicycles available at every villa, but we used the golf carts to get around the massive property. They always arrived promptly — we never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride, and every driver was courteous, patient and friendly. Thank you to everyone at Banyan Tree who helped make our stay so perfect. We are already planning a return visit next year.

My wife and I recently stayed at Banyan Tree Mayakoba for our first-ever trip to the Riviera Maya, and it was absolutely breathtaking. We chose this hotel because of the beautiful photos on their website, but seeing it in person was a whole different level—it truly is a hidden paradise (and very well-hidden, which adds to the exclusivity!). The villas offer incredible privacy and are equipped with everything you could possibly need. Honestly, since it was our first time in the area, we made the mistake of booking too many off-site activities. We ended up regretting it because the resort itself is so stunning that you don't feel the need to step foot outside the property. They have it all: a pristine beach, amazing pools, top-tier bars, and world-class restaurants. We loved having our own bicycles to explore the lush grounds and the golf course. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the world and just enjoy the tranquility. We are already planning our return, but next time with one goal in mind: staying a full week inside the resort without leaving for a single second. If you are looking for a place to truly unwind, this is it. Five stars all the way!

The architecture is magnificent. The food is wonderful. But the best part of staying at any Banyan Tree property is the staff. That is particularly true of Mayakoba. Long after the credit card bill is paid, these are the people I'll remember: Jazmin at the concierge desk, Gregorio at Saffron, Ana at the lobby bar, and Ignacio and his boat tour. It's amazing how many friends you can make in three days. Thank you all for being so good at what you do.
