Our trip to Banyan Tree Mayakoba was simply amazing--from start to finish. The staff was incredibly kind, gracious and always willing to go the extra mile. The resort itself it kept in impeccable shape. The cool towels doused with lemongrass were just one example of the small touches that made this trip so memorable.

Very nice resort. The Villia's are very secluded and private. We have a huge private pool and hot tub. The food has been good and the staff extremely helpful and good. I'm not sure I would bring my kids here - I believe it's more about adult time.

We had an amazing stay at the Banyan Tree Mayakoba. The Villa we stayed had a beautiful ambiance with an unbelievable view from the pool, which was at the top of the Villa. Not just the Villa, the whole Hotel area was very clean and had an overwhelming style. The staff was really friendly, extremely attentive and responsive to any request. During our stay, we had a boat tour thru the Laguna, which is part of the Hotel-complex. We saw turtles, birds, iguanas and even an alligator. The staff has a huge knowledge about the flora and fauna of the Hotel. With the bikes you can drive thru the hotel area and visit the Golf club, gym or you just enjoy the nature Trail. The massage at the Spa of the Hotel was very relaxing and a great experience. My personal favorite was the Thai Food festival 2017 they arranged during our stay. The food was a culinary experience and they had an amazing presentation of the culture of Thailand with music and dancers.

We stayed here for four nights and can honestly say the service I received was probably the best I have ever received in a hotel. The Resort itself set in mangroves is beautiful and really sets a relaxing mood, one which me and my wife were definitely looking for. The villa was amazing and came with all the things one would expect from a hotel of this calibre of a hotel, cleaning and turn down service was top notch and the room always smelt amazing, pool was lush waking up and going for a dip in the morning. With a hotel like this you expect to pay a premium but will just put into context a few prices for the people out there that are not made of money. Your average beer, ale, lager including service charge and tax is around £12, cocktails £17-£20. Hands down the best restaurant in the hotel is Tomahawk, a steakhouse, all meals are big enough to feed two, you get free appetiser and a free garlic bread, value for money was excellent and the food and service was amazing. Tomahawk staring steak cooked on a huge outdoor BBQ with lemon tart for dessert, just divine. I can honestly say do not waste your money with Saffron, the starter alone was £25 literally three small chicken/beef satay, and that was it! I almost fainted. we had the beef noodles and chicken curry and rice, it was nice but for the price £84 no drinks just house water, extremely expensive, with service just being ok. By all means if you are not a big drinker ask for house water, the staff are more than happy to serve you this, if you don't ask you will be charged for premium table water. We did not bother with the Spa, they said on arrival they have Thai Masseuses, however for the price they charge again did not feel it was worth the money, we have had Thai massages by Thai woman in Thailand for one twentieth of the price so that was our reasoning for not going in the Spa. The resort contains a Cenote, you cannot swim in it but it does contain bats, we were surprised to find some staff inside when we walked down the steps and they gave us a little tour of the Cenote. It was very informative and I highly recommend a visit. I would highly recommend this hotel.
