Banyan Tree Mayakoba

service is not at par with a hotel that charges 5 star rates, the hotel will not let you check in before 3pm, they will give you a fake smile and repeat a generic line that check in is after 3. the rooms were updated however our room was missing a lot of amenities they usually give you. This hotel prides itself of the privacy and seclusion each room provides to their guest but for some reason they decided to cut all the vegetation that provides the privacy, hence everyone can look at each other's rooms and you feel like you're in a fish bowl... the room was not cleaned real well and the pool was filthy!! Definitely not a good value for what they charge

We had an incredible friends reunion at Banyan tree! The friendliness of the staff really stood out, and we had an especially great experience with our Butler, Miguel. He was very helpful and accommodating. Everyone at the resort made us feel very welcome. The grounds were beautiful and we really enjoyed being able to bike around the resort. We had fantastic massages at the spa, and really enjoyed the view and the food and beverage service on the beach.

Beautiful property and accommodations. The service was amazing, we were taken care of from check in to check out. Claudia was so friendly and helpful, checking in with us each day to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant and beach service was also wonderful. I wish we could’ve stayed longer.

This was our second visit to Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, and this time we arrived with our two little girls — and somehow it was even more magical than the first. This place deserves more than five stars. The service is unlike anything we’ve ever experienced, the food is impeccable, and the team is incredibly attentive to allergies — special thank you to Jose Louis, the sous chef! We absolutely adored Gamliel, Marco, and Victor at the beach club and are so grateful for their warmth and care. Our hostess Claudia was wonderfully accommodating, and the hotel manager Igor truly went above and beyond for our family. A big shout-out as well to Mix and Lesley at the kids club — our girls had an absolute blast. For families: you can borrow sand toys and floaties directly from the kids club, they run fantastic activities, and the staff are incredibly attentive. The hotel also offers very legitimate babysitting services. Highly recommend heading over to Rosewood Mayakoba for dinner and booking the boat to get there - such a special experience. You will not regret booking a stay here.

We had a wonderful time at the Banyan Tree Mayakoba for our Babymoon! It was our second time visiting. The beaches were beautiful, the room was spectacular, and the food was great. We were especially grateful to Jorge for his attentive, personable service at Sur beach club. We are already talking about returning to the Banyan Tree soon!
