Banyan Tree Mayakoba

We have come back to Banyan Tree Mayakoba three times; and look forward to returning again. This is the best resort on the Mayan Riviera if you're looking for privacy and quiet solitude. The villa pools are the largest private pools in the area. You can actually swim laps in them. In your fully private villa garden, no one overlooks you, and you are surrounded by green jungle, birds and animals. Bicycles are available for independent travel around the resort and across the 620 acres of Mayakoba. There is no annoying music or forced joviality with other guests. The sold-out property felt empty. The service is top notch and discrete. Mayakoba is an escape from overbuilt resorts. It's a place to escape programming, deadlines and structure. The restaurants are all delicious and have outdoor seating along the lagoons. You can take your bicycle, a boat or a shuttle to the other Mayakoba hotel restaurants, or just sit quietly in place and enjoy your good fortune. No request feels unreasonable.

Banyan Tree was amazing. The staff were all incredibly helpful, especially our concierge Sonia. The villa was clean and spacious and the golf carts and bikes made it so easy to get around. The food was delicious (though pricey). La Copa was definitely the best bang for your buck and was obviously delicious as it is Mexican cuisine. We recommend the water scooters and italian cooking class!!

There is no denying that Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Mexico is a stunning destination. The hotel is breathtaking in so many ways and the staff are super friendly and attentive. There is so much to immerse yourself in and although the prices for food and drink are eye-watering, the variety and attention to detail is first class. We had a small issue with a leak in our villa but the team worked hard to fix it and ensured it did not negatively impact on our experience. Special mention to the cleaning staff, who are always smiling and to our two concierges, Miguel and Roi, who were always on hand whenever we needed something sorting. The activities team (volleyball, pool blackjack, ping-pong etc) were also great fun. If it wasn’t a 10 hour flight from the UK, we would return regularly but it will remain one of our best and most memorable vacations.

Phenomenal 4 night stay celebrating my 50th. Truly beautiful property with exceptional food and service. 100% we will return. Special note to ROI at the Front Desk and JASMINE the Concierge….both were superb!

The resort was beautiful. Our 3 bedroom villa was pristine. The entire staff from housekeeping to restaurants employees (I have a serious food allergy) were kind & accommodating. Our concierge, Madai, went above & beyond for us-besides making our reservations, she recommended some wonderful places to visit in the area. We had one of our most memorable family vacations.
