Reviews for Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Perla
Most amazing, beautiful, immaculate adults only resort I’ve ever been too. 5+++ stars. Every single restaurant served incredible fine dining food that tasted even better than they looked, and they looked like works of art! Perfect week with my man and great friends. Relaxing and serene. Service was impeccable. Mature clientele. No spring breakers.

Last year my family stayed on the family friendly Esmeralda side of the resort. We had an issue that time and Melia generously comped us 4 nights to return. So we used it to check out the La Perla adults side. We had a one bedroom master suite on the 3rd floor which had gorgeous views of the mangroves and water. We chose to upgrade to Royal service because we knew it got you access to a special pool, lounges, beach area and restaurant. It cost us $440 for the upgrade for four nights. It was well worth it to us. Our butler Angel was phenomenal. His attention to detail and proactive outreach to us more than once a day in person or by cell to see if we needed anything was appreciated. In fact, all the staff here are amazing and truly visitor focused. Drinks flowed freely and quickly, live music daily at the Royal service pool, and fast service at the restaurants sealed the deal for us. We are Paradisus fans and will definitely be back. In fact we’re planning our 4th visit to a Paradisus property for May. You can’t go wrong at the resorts in Playa Del Carmen or Punta Cana. Grounds are gorgeous and clean, rooms large and modern, and again the staff is just amazing. The only downside, which is an issue all across Mexico is the seaweed in the ocean. Staff clear it away as best they can but very few if any people went in the water. You can still enjoy laying on the beach though. At times the seaweed smelled a bit but overall it’s Mother Nature and nothing you can do about it. I believe most beaches even Cancun to some degree are experiencing high levels of seaweed.

Great stay, food is amazing, very beautiful. Staff was also on point, Stephane Azamar took good care of my friends and I and made sure we had a good time. Make sure ya'll ask for him if you want to go out in the city. Would recommend this resort to everyone, there really isn't any downside.
Absolutely loved this place, VERY top notch. From the live music every night, to the clean room, peaceful ambiance with music playing everywhere, to fun, amazing employees like Gerald, Brandon and Edgar, our needs were always top priority. Thank you for an epic girls trip for me and my daughters!

This is the second trip for us to Paradisus, Playa del Carmen. The first trip was marred by overbooking but the front desk manager did the best he could to rectify the situation and even gave us another stay at the resort. The second time we visited was much less crowded. We enjoyed the luxurious accommodations and spacious rooms. The food is quite good and there is always quite a variety of cuisines to choose from. The beach is very nice and the water was actually warm enough to swim. The only drawback for the beach is the copious amount of seaweed that drifts in when the wind blows from the southeast. The staff worked diligently to remove it but it is almost an impossible task. The staff is the best reason to stay at Paradisus. They are the warmest, friendliest, hosts that you could ask for. They always greeted us with a smile and an offer to help in any way they could. No request went unfulfilled. Thanks again to Mr. B from the front desk at La Perla for making our trip so enjoyable!
