Hyatt ruined this hotel
Terrible customer service. This hotel has unfortunately gone downhill. The previous hotel name was Thompson. They offered excellent customer service a 10. The Hyatt 3. Location is great and room was clean.

Amazing service and great view!
Wonderful. They were so nice to us here!! Eddie was amazing and very attentive! Service was excellent. Would highly recommend. Amenities are very nice as well. Very fun atmosphere with a great view! The food and drinks were great!

Find someplace else - you will thank me!!
Just don't do it! Hotel is falling apart - deck area has many places where if you step you will likely fall through broken boards; mildew in bathroom; toilet broke CONSTANTLY (housekeeping came 2x/day to repair flushing mechanism which clearly needs to be replaced); service is slow and inattentive; poolside service is almost nonexistent - and then... THE NOISE. They offer earplugs but require soundproofing. The noise is from the street (which isn't their fault) but their ability to address it (or not!) is on them - and its bananas - and doesn't stop until after 3am. Truly like nothing I have ever experienced.

Great experience.
We enjoyed our stay so much! When you travel with children, we recommend to upgrade your room to beach front with a hot tub on your balcony. Your family is going to love it.

Third Time Back & Still Love It
This was our third stay at Hyatt Centric Playa del Carmen and once again it was fantastic. The C-Grill breakfast was great, and we loved staying at the Beach House. We’ll definitely be back again!
