I have been to Alma Hotel several times for breakfast and lunch and the food was delicious so my BFF and I decided to have a girls night and stay at the hotel. We were quite disappointed. I don't know if they have a new chef but the food was not nearly as good as it used to be. The room was lovely and well maintained. It was very hot outside and my friend and I were really looking forward to swimming in their beautiful pools but the water was very warm - like a jacuzzi. Really awful. I spoke to the front desk about it but they made a lot of excuses. When I asked for some sort of compensation as the pool is a huge part of their hotel and why we were there, they credited me 35.00 on a total bill of $700.00. We toured another hotel down the street and their pool was cool and so nice. Sadly, last time for me at Alma.

We enjoyed so much our stay at Alma del Pacifico. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We booked the Deluxe village with ocean view and private pool. Our room was pristine and spacious. The breakfast was great with so many healthy and vegan options to choose from. If you want to take surfing lessons please contact Alfredo. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind at all times. You’ll find him close to the restaurant by the beach. What I loved the most about Alma is that it wasn’t crowded at all. I even felt that I had the whole beautiful beach only for my family and myself. If I go back to CR, there’s no doubt that I’ll be visiting Alma once again!

Excellent atmosphere however with breakfast far from ideal. Wonderful resort, with wonderful beach. One of the rooms used for the 4 members of my family had 2 king size beds and they did not feel confortable enough. Location close to amenities is also a plus.

We had a wonderful stay at Alma del Pacifico hotel and spa! Our villa was well appointed, clean, and comfortable, we loved being right on the beach, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Pools were wonderful, and our daughter had a great time with her renter boogie board. The perfect end to our time in Costa Rica! We visited with our two children ages 12 and 3, and they both loved it too! So wonderful to see a hotel room with lots of color and cool art/design!

Room #1 was the best choice for us in my opinion. There were other great rooms but i genuinely loved the location of ours. Waking up to stunning views of the surf, enjoying a scrumptious breakfast, and being assisted by a fantastic staff made our stay memorable. The room was impeccably clean, and the bathroom was both spacious and pleasant. I adored the abundance of windows, which made me feel completely immersed in nature. Moreover, the thick curtains were perfect for those who wanted to block out the sun. We stayed for five days due to a wedding, and the entire experience was fantastic. The owner even had a brilliant backup plan when unexpected showers arrived.
