My husband and I kicked off our CR trip by spending 5 nights here, midweek in February. We had a garden bungalow that was beautiful and very private. Hot water and Wifi were not always consistent in the room, but didn't take away from our experience. Wifi did always appear to be working in some of the common areas if needed, too. The beach is amazing- so incredibly quiet and peaceful. Most of the time we felt like we had the entire place to ourselves! There are plenty of lounge chairs and hammocks to relax in, lots of available shade if needed, and the ocean is just gorgeous. The current is very strong, and we never went above chest level, but could definitely still enjoy a good swim! We ate most of our meals at the restaurant on site and were never disappointed. The included breakfast allows you to order off a menu and has lots of options! There are also a couple of other restaurants within walking distance down the beach if you want to switch it up. Didn't appear to be a lot of night life in this area (which we liked!) but the hotel just up the beach does a "Happy hour" on Thursday evenings with live music which was fun. That location also offered yoga classes in the morning and surf lessons which were great! Overall, highly recommend- great private beach location, not touristy, helpful staff, delicious food!

This place has a very friendly staff and an even better chef. Try the Alma chorizo and beef burger or seafood soup. Actually anything on the menu is pretty fantastic. The beach is tricky: low tide good, high tide, rip tides. Rooms are comfy and beds fine. One proviso: the excursions offered are not as stated. The waterfalls 'EASY' walk is not. Challenging, and you must bring water shoes as you walk in river beds and dive in pools if wanted. High ladders, rock stairs and etc. Lovely but be warned as Alma sadly does not. I am loathed to endanger much needed jobs at Manuel Antonio park but it is far too over crowded now. (See pix below) A hot day combined with massive crowds that chase away most wildlife means shoulder to shoulder shuffling in hot temps trying to see telescoped bugs or frogs. Hard to hear the nature for the crowds. Sad but true.

We had two breakfasts and a dinner here as we stayed in a private home nearby. The setting is fabulous, the food is even better and the service staff is great....say hello to Freddy he is just a super guy ! I had the Huevos Rebeldes Quesadilla, it was great ( I had it twice ) others consumed panckaes, amercian breakfast....all are excellent. Dinner was also great. The fresh fish and fresh ingredients are superbly presented. Great food...I would definitely go here again and no qualms about recommending this spot

Beautiful setting on a long beach. We love the architecture and the well kept garden. We had a garden room which was large and very private as it has a garden wall. There is a large shaded area leading to the long beach with plenty of sun loungers. The large open air restaurant is very pleasant. By European standards, we thought it caters more for North Americans in terms of portion sizes and too speedy service. Disappointing breakfast as there is no buffet. Included in the room price, you can have either a hot breakfast or a continental. Long life orange juice, tasteless bread, weak coffee. Beach bar is permanently closed. My overall impression is that this hotel could be even better.

This place is beautiful, quiet and on a gorgeous beach. The villas are large brightly decorated and very private. The staff is wonderful and the restaurant has great food. Very clean and well kept. Two nice pools to enjoy. Has a spa on premise that looked very nice did not have a chance to visit. Will definitely book at Alma del Pacifico again. 👍😁
