Waves crash near the lanais of Koa Kea Hotel & Resort's oceanfront guestrooms, a collection of low-profile buildings that blend with the nature around them. Inside, fresh flowers accent simple, modern island décor and art prints of coral. Koa Kea means "white coral," a tribute to the life-giving power of the reefs. According to Hawaiian mythology, coral is the goddess granddaughter of the world’s creator. From November to May, Koa Kea’s slice of the Pacific hosts a migration of humpback whales, so keep an eye to the horizon.

Family had a great time here. it was our 3 time on Kaui, and first time at this hotel. The hotel was beautiful, it sits right on the ocean. our time there was peaceful and very relaxing. our room was spacious, well appointed and clean. the house keeping staff does amazing job. All the staff that we encountered were friendly and professional. This was our favorite place that we have stayed on Kaui. we had a wonderful breakfast daily at the hotel, we recommend the Lobster benedict! the breakfast wait staff do a great job. We got our complimentary Mai Tais at the pool bar and they were delicious. We saw monk seals and sea turtles on the beach. We cant wait to return!

Ko’a Kea is beautiful and relaxing. The staff is top notch, from the front desk to the room attendants to the incredibly friendly valets; with a special shoutout to Rebecca and Marlina at the Red Salt restaurant for exceptional warmth and service.

Warm & welcoming. This boutique hotel has all the amenities without the stress of the crowds. Right on the water, with accessible beaches on either side. Complementary yoga every morning, with very enjoyable food and wonderful cocktails. We highly recommend it

This is a wonderful place, and unlike many others that like to call themselves a 'resort' but are far from it....the Ko'a Kea meets the expectation of a true resort. From the moment we were greeted by the valet, to the front desk, the restaurant host, wait staff, pool bartender and housekeeping, we felt like we were important, valued and pampered. Don't hesitate, the cost is worth it, you will truly enjoy your time there. We would return to this resort without hesitation!
