Check in was a breeze, staff were very polite and helpful. I booked online hence made some savings.Stayed on the 7th Floor and the view was not to bad. The decor was beautiful however the carpet needs change. The bed was wonderfully soft. Ordered dinner from the in-room menu. 3 different dishes are was delivered to the room in less then an hour. Food was still hot and loved the use of fresh vegetables. And of cause the food was delicious.

This hotel is very close to where I needed to be for work. It was safe, comfortable, friendly and convenient. I took advantage of the special floors for women’s traveling alone. (They are only booked to women, but keep in mind that this is a hotel not an all- girls dormitory - one morning I ran into a woman escorting a younger man who seemed to have had joined her the night before, to the elevator ;-) The hotel seemed very safe though, and the restaurant was very good. The only thing holding me back from a full set of stars is that the swimming pool isn’t a real pool- some fancy camera angles make it look like one, but it is more like a deep reflecting pool. 4 stars, and probably any floor is just as good as another.

Went there a couple of times this month for business lunches primarily because the team were receptive to tweaking the menu to suite a diet preference - and demonstrated enthusiasm in the process which was great. It’s a pity that the restaurant is generally empty as the quality of food is great and prices reasonable. Otherwise, service is great and staff are very friendly.

Offers free return airport shuttle. I was upgraded to a one bedroom apartment for the evening so this was a nice luxury. Clean rooms as portrayed in the pics, fresh linen, toiletries, self contained apartment filled with cutlery, microwave, dishwasher, etc. Onsite bar and restaurant and very close to IGA. Spent a few hours in the bar and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the restaurant was amazing. Whilst it was a great stay and experience, there are a couple of negative comments I have. 1 - it's not uncommon to have a hotel take a credit card swipe even though they were advised they would be paid in cash but I found extraordinary was that $1.00 was deducted from my account as this apparrently common practise for them. This was very disappointing. 2 - when I requested to catch the shuttle at 11.45am I was advised that I would need to catch a taxi to the airport. Even though I consider this as negative feedback, it was quickly resolved by the staff in vallet. Great location if you want to stay in the city.

Very friendly staff, well dressed and smiling. Rooms are very clean with excellent views of the harbor to the north and the beach to the south. Food service is very good, with late night (after 10 pm) specials or daily specials to choose from. There is a thick book in each room, written by Ian Sinclair which contains the history of the Steamships Trading Company and also Papua New Guinea - a must read book. Thank you Allan Ben for assisting me during my stay, & Yolanda Kalana for your courtesy & respect.
