The Heathman Hotel, Portland in Portland, Oregon

The Heathman Hotel Portland is one of only 30 hotels in the world to enjoy a four-diamond rating for 27 consecutive years. And that’s not the only reason why a stay here is memorable. Bright, eclectic rooms compliment an art collection that includes Henk Pender and Andy Warhol, and a cozy lending library stocks signed editions by authors who have stayed there – more than 2,500 titles to date, all available to be delivered to your bedside. A recent landfill-free “green” renovation makes this pet-friendly hotel one of the best environmental options in Portland.

Explore the Pearl District, stopping to shop in local boutiques and bookstores. Take a midday yoga class. Unwind further with a craft microbrew. Back at the hotel, listen to live jazz next to the fireplace in the hotel’s original eucalyptus-paneled Tea Court Lounge. Sample Kumamoto oysters followed by a leg of bacon-wrapped venison, or opt for a creative vegan tasting menu.

I liked most things about the hotel. Location is probably the best part. House keeping person didn't really do anything. The room was musty and dusty. We didn't sleep the first night but the next day things were better.

Need to have Business Center completed/available for guests - needed to print a few copies - had to email to the front desk (Lily was great about it), but not very convenient. Flavored Water and Water in the lobby was nice.

Comfortable classical style. Good service and friendly staff. Well located for walking to parks and entertainment areas of the city. Adjoining restaurant and bar were also very good and a comfy fireplace and lounge for the rainy days was also relaxing.

This is a quaint lodge with comfortable accommodations. Easy location on and off the freeways. Great food, Superb service! Rooms have large walk-in showers. Some rooms have balconies. We had a room on the 4th floor the club lounge floor - a great bonus. Light breakfast in the morning and drinks M-Th in the evenings. Older accommodations but taken good care of.

There was nothing really to complain about. It was a nice Hotel. Only one thing that was extremely annoying that should definitely be considered to be changed: We decided to stay in bed a little longer. First we heard repeated yelling of and employee and door banging. We then understood someone yelling every few minutes (or seconds) 'HONOR BAR'. Obviously an employee was going through checking the honor bar inventory. It obviously disturbed our peace. One or two times would probably have been acceptable. But the repeated yelling and banging of the doors destroyed the otherwise pleasant environment. Then came the same thing over with: "Housekeeping". We had our door hanger out - so we were not directly disturbed. Someone needs to come up with a solution to these banging doors which are not unique to this Hotel, but adding the repeated yelling down the hall should be avoided - and of course the employees could close the doors more quietly.
