So disappointed with this hotel. We booked a club level room at a price of $440. Arrived at hotel and room was not ready. After an hour it was ready and we walked into a small room with a even smaller window looking outside. We went back down to the front desk and told them we were not satisfied with the room. The rude woman at the desk said she wasn't authorized to help and would have to speak with the room controller. After waiting 10 minutes she came back and said they would give us an ADA room. Booked this with Amex and most hotels will offer an upgrade. While waiting another guest checked in after me and was offered an upgrade to a suite. So, obviously there were rooms available for upgrades. This rude service made us leave the hotel, cancel our reservation, and be happily received at a different hotel around the corner. The small room was in no way worth $440 a night. Stay elsewhere.

This is the last hotel I will ever stay in while visiting Portland. Period. Forget about Marriott, forget about Hilton and forget about other Starwood properties, the Nines is a Ten. Hotel lobby on the 9th floor is a little weird, but it works with the name. We love the rooms and decor which reminds you of a W but more local and boutique. The rooftop bar and restaurant is unbelievable. Rooms have lots of space and are made to have all the amenities. Work out facility has everything you need, and the valet actually hustled to get our car before we got down to the first floor. Bottom line, don't stay anywhere else.

My wife and I spent the night of 7/15 and 7/16 at The Nines and had a great experience. The hotel is in the heart of downtown and the staff was the best. They remembered our every request and addressed them promptly.

As a local, I've stayed here a few times since they opened and I love the property, location, and staff. This past weekend I rented a suite and adjacent room to host my daughter's 13th birthday party. I coordinated with the concierge staff in the months leading up to the event and they were incredibly supportive and resourceful (Servando, Peter, Patrick, Heidi, Clint...thanks!) We had some snafus with the rooms upon check in but were able to get those resolved relatively expediently. Abraham, the room manager worked hard to get us into the rooms we had reserved. They have a policy that Starwood preferred members get to check out as late as 4pm which is a great courtesy for the member already in the room but not if you're the one waiting to check in. That policy should be reviewed because the cascading inconveniencing of other guests must be difficult to manage...and it's certainly unfair to those waiting and who are paying for a full nights stay. When Urban Farmer first opened it started out strong, then took a bit of a dive, and is now back to a stellar bar and dinner menu. We had some great meals and snacks (and the cheese grits are out of this world.) I will definitely stay there again. The professionalism of the staff, the beautiful property, and great location are a winning combo.

We stayed there at the beginning and because we loved it, at the end of our trip touring colleges in Oregon. Excellent staff, very cool vibe, lovely rooms, comfy beds and clean rooms. We recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a fun, hip, nice hotel in downtown Portland. We walked to lots of shops and restaurants from there too. Room service was very good as well.
