Great trip! Everything went smoothly and really good value for the price we paid. I highly recommend this hotel for a weekend couple’s stay.

Good Hardware, Lousy Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 hours ago

I was about to write a better review despite some service misfires because I like the hardware but just had a lousy breakfast. As a lifetime titanium, they kindly upgraded to a studio suite in the app morning of arrival. The room and design is excellent. It's a large space and very comfortable and I like the elegant design that is a mix of old school and modern. I don't know how to describe it. It just works which is why I was about to write a positive review before yet another service failure. The service failures are minor but shouldn't happen at a Luxury Collection Hotel. Minor but annoying; 1) I had an overweight bag that I had problems getting out of the back of my Uber. 3 doorman stood at door and didn't help me despite me obviously struggling. But literally as soon as I got the bag on the ground they come over to help....yet I'm not tipping for you to help put my bag in the elevator but not out of the Uber 2) i went up to check in and queued at the front desk. There was no elite check in counter so I waited like everyone else. But then 2 people cut me and went to the concierge to check in. And the concierge checked them in. Why didn't they check the rest of us? Or was it only for elites? But as a titanium, I should have counted as an elite. 3) the bigger issue. I asked for 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast. The waiter said no because it takes too long to prepare and that he could offer papched eggs. I am trying to lose weight so I only eat hard boiled eggs and skip the yolk. How is it possible at a luxury collection hotel they can't provide hard boiled eggs. They had bowls of fruit for $5 and $12. I eat berries so asked how much would it be just for berries because I don't like cantaloupe. The guy said an upcharge to $13 for a small bowl of berries. $8 upcharge. That's crazy. I complained to the restaurant check in staff that I think they should have hard boiled eggs. He said he'd tell the chef so I went to the front desk to tell them too. But when I went back to the tabrlz they had taken away my water and remade it up because they said they thought I had left angrily. I asked to talk to a senior staff member. He said he had been told I was in a rush which is why I couldn't get hard boiled eggs. Uh, I have nothing to do until 4pm check out so I certainly wasn't in a rush. I don't know where that came out. Manager kindly gave me breakfast for free...except my breakfast is already free as a titanium so that was an empty gesture. Ordering hard boiled eggs (essentially egg whites) is a standard ask but that couldn't be done, even at a luxury collection hotel. You can grt hard boiled eggs at a Fairfield Inn or Marriott Courtyard. So, frankly, I do like the hardware of the hotel and the location, I can't recommend it. The service just isn't fitting a 3 star hotel, let alone a luxury hotel. The service recovery was a free breakfast which was already free for me as a titanium. Not a happy camper. This is why despite being a Lifetime Titanium, I frankly don't stay much anymore at Marriotts because service standards have gone way down. Hard boiled eggs.

Not impressed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

First night we were kept up until Midnight with loud music from the 15th floor. Do you want to be a hotel or a dance club? Either warn your guests or don’t put people in those rooms. On top of that, our bed didn’t have a bottom sheet and we had to make our own bed at 10:00pm. Not near the luxury experience we expected.

Best valet driver I’ve ever had

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

I’m writing this review specifically for the valet crew. The gentleman with the long dark hair ran down the street just to give us my wife’s bag back. He’s seriously a life saver. It is a very nice bag, he just as easily could’ve kept it but chose to be the better man. I will be back just to tip him again, I can’t thank you enough brother. You’re an a1 gentleman and they absolutely need to promote you. You definitely serve as an example of how people should be. I hope your night is amazing.
