My husband and I stayed in hotel Poseidon for 5 nights while we visited Positano, and it was perfection! The staff we so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere of the hotel was so beautiful. Every morning we would wake up and open our blinds just to admire the magnificent view from our balcony, then head up for a lovely breakfast. They had perfect attention to detail in every regard, it was truly a pleasure to have stayed there. The hotel was like paradise every evening we would sit by the fireplace and drink wine and cocktails, listen to beautiful music and were even given lovely red blankets when it was cold. We hope to one day return to hotel Poseidon, we have such fond memories there. Thankyou for a beautiful, unforgettable experience ♥️

You're not on the beach but you're out of the fray and close enough. It's also close very close to convenient things like a photo shop, excellent restaurant, shopping, wi-fi cafe etc...I don't think there is a hotel in Positano without a great view and this hotel doesn't miss on that either especially pool side. There is sort of a vintage throw back feel with this place and pool that make you want to wear a big hat and Jackie-o sunglasses while you lounge around. There are also some cozy little curl up shady spots to read a book too. The nice part about this hotel being up the hill is sometimes you get a breeze which is nice in the heat of the summer. The breakfast included is very good, the staff is friendly, and the price is the best part. It's reasonable or at least when I stayed here. Oh and the beds aren't bad either. That was the hardest part of moderately priced accommodations for me on my 1 and half month working visit. The lower the price the harder the bed. I didn't find that to be that case here. Just to give you an idea when I stayed in rooms that cost the equivalent of $500 plus a night the beds were more plush American hotel style. When I was in the $130 plus range it was like sleeping on the floor. This hotel was not newly remodeled but but honestly it's tasteful and hopefully you can appreciate the retro vintage feel. *they also have off street parking which is a total premium in Positano

The hotel is classic Positano. Right on the road overlooking the whole city/marina. The staff is extremely nice, lovely pool and dining area. The rooms are a little dated but typical for Positano. they have vale parking and a place to pull up in front of the hotel which is a huge plus if you have a car. They are located right near several very good restaurants and the beach is a 10 minute walk.

Of Positano John Steinbeck wrote, "It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone," and this is true of the Hotel Poseidon as well. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff are second to none, and anyone who says otherwise here or elsewhere is not someone you should be paying attention to. We arrived to Positano via taxi from Pompeii, and our cab driver drove us past the hotel and all the way around to the other side of the town, stating he couldn't go any further and leaving us to fend for ourselves. We walked down and up the main road around the hillside and, needless to say, by the time we got to the hotel after a long day of walking the ruins of Pompeii we were hot, sticky, drenched in sweat, and ready to enjoy the finer things in life. Poseidon is as fine as they come. We stayed in one of the Sky Rooms, and were initially concerned on booking that the balcony wouldn't be private enough based on the pictures but it was perfect. The views are indescribable. The hotel is at the perfect height up the hill that it's not too far of a hike up but you still get the magic of Positano painted across your window. I was taking pictures continuously to catch the town in the light of each hour and when opening the doors to the sunshine over the crystalline blue ocean every morning you think it could only be downhill from there, but every second is as good or better than the last. The breakfast at the restaurant is the best I've had in Italy, and the dinners... Don't go anywhere else unless you have a serious fear of missing out. We skipped the Michelin starred restaurants to save money, and there isn't a chance in Positano or hell that they could have been better. You can't get a bad meal in Positano but we paid less at Poseidon's restaurant than for any other dinner and it was definitely the best. The views are unrivaled and if you're looking for romance look no further. World class service, world class food, world class views. When we come back we'll be staying here, and staying much longer.

We stayed for six nights for our honeymoon, we wished we could have stayed longer. With such a range of different hotels and costs, Poseidon was perfect - close to town, incredible views and fantastic staff. Eveyone was so helpful and friendly, from assisting us with hiring a scooter to transfer back to naples, nothing was an issue. We couldn't fault one thing and would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Positano and can't wait to come back ourselves.
