I had the pleasure of staying here with my daughter for three nights last week, wished it was a longer stay. The hotel is in a great position, easily in walking distance to the quaint town centre. On the way down the streets are lined with shops of all sorts. There are at least 3 really good restaurants just steps away from the hotel. There are also a set of stairs very close to the hotel where you can go straight down to the beach, there's around 350 steps. Didn't try them though. The hotel has a real family feel to it, special thanks to Angelo and Liliana although everyone we came into contact with was superb . They have a beautiful and large terrace where they serve breakfast and dinner on, the views over Positano are truly breathtaking. The assortment of food for breakfast was good you won't go hungry . The pool area is also a welcomed site, they have ample sun lounges and also some tables and chairs under a covered area , all with great views over Positano We had a large room with a large terrace and was very comfortable. They also have the oldest lift in Positano, really quite special. Thanks to everyone there that made our stay great See you again !

We stayed 5 nights in Positano at the Poseidon. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenage girls and we could not have had a better experience . The town is spectacular. The hotel is too. Clean, great location, wonderful daily breakfast included, and breathtaking views from the private balconies. It is noticeable that this family owned property has taken every detail of your stay into account. The photos from their website are spot on as to how things really look. The food is top notch and reasonably priced. The small bar is charming. The location is excellent- not too high up on the hill, not too close to the busy shopping area. It is 450 steps up the walkway from the beach to the hotel, which is about average as the hotel is midway up the hill. The staff is as genuinely friendly as I've experienced anywhere. My kids are already asking when can we go back. The only negative i can offer is that we booked a ride out of town thru the front desk which was twice the price as the ride service we took to get into town- same type of vehicle, both to/from Naples. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Everything about this place was great except when we were cheated by the front desk staff. They booked a car to drop me to rome airport and showed me a catalog with another car while booking a lower category car in reality. When in the morning before heading out we saw this and told them they said no this is the car we booked. This car category was available online was at least a € 100 less. It was anyway too late for us to argue and cancel as it was time for us to leave to catch our flight on time.

We have been traveling through italy over the last two weeks. We have loved this trip more than any other. And along the way we have stayed at three other hotels, one in Venice, one in Florence, and one in Rome. Without any question, our experience here has been by far the best. From the moment we walked into the reception area, and were greeted by the friendly staff, we knew we were somewhere different. The staff here makes the extra effort to meet you, to get to know you and to serve you. Within one day they had my name memorized, my wife's name, they even knew my children's names. They have been as welcoming as I could hope a staff to be. The rooms are very nice, clean and organized. Very comfortable. I would think they are above average for this area. My wife and I are staying in their nicest room, and we love it. My daughters are staying in a more average room and their view is probably better than ours. The food at the resturant is excellent as well. We ate there last night and enjoyed dishes like a simple cheese pizza to a local seafood appitizer that was much different than what we are used to, but was great. After dinner my wife and I enjoyed their version of Tiramisu. We eat that often when at Italian resturants. This was likely the best we have ever had. Very unique presentation. The hotel is located very well in positano. It is not too far down the hill, and not too far up. There are some great other restaurants in easy walking distance. The view is perfect. Looking a little south and a little east. I'm not exactly sure which direction I'm looking when here. It's easy to get confused. In the afternoons, you are shaded by the mountain so it's perfect for a after 5pm drink on the balcony. I feel sorry for the people on the western facing slope of positano. They are likely roasting at that point. Overall, I would certainly return here. I wouldn't even consider another hotel in the area. This seems to have it all.

We stayed for 6 nights. The Hotel is located in a central location of Positano. 10 minute walk to the beach. Our room had a balcony and the views were breathtaking! The staff is wonderful( especially Alexendro) and very helpful suggesting restaurants and other activities. The Hotel Poseidon is one of the few hotels in Postitano that has a pool. Bar and Pool area is fantastic. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Poseidon again. One of our best vacations
