You just have to immerse yourself in the place and enjoy all of it, the breeze from the sea, the beach, the lights, the boats, the mountains, it all eye candy. A hard place to get to but worth the trip. I can't wait to return.

Il San Pietro is the most beautiful and wonderful hotel that we have ever experienced. The staff are helpful and friendly and go out of their way for you. The owners are always around and their presence and hospitality has a positive effect on the whole staff. The beach club is magnificent, looking back towards Positano; diving into the deep water, and having a drink at your broad comfortable sunbed are happy memories. Down by the beach, Carlino restaurant is fresh and light - perfect for lunch, and Zass is more formal for dinner on the terrace. Even room service on our balcony was a great experience as they bring table closth, candle and wonderfully fresh food (all herbs and vegetables are grown on site). We went into town one evening for dinner using the shuttle which is always available, and afterwards as we took the water taxi back, we decided that San Pietro was too perfect and we would not leave the hotel again until it was time to depart. Most guests book their rooms for next year as they check out, and every person we spoke to had plans to return, as do we. Our slice of heaven.

My daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights in July. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they were to us. I had a medical problem during my stay and they procured both a Physical therapist and a MD to evaluate and treat me in my room. The view is gorgeous; location excellent and you should take "Mama's" cooking class! I plan to return!

The view from the patio of San Pietro di Positano is spectacular. We took a taxi from our hotel in Positano and returned to our hotel on the shuttle provided by San Pietro. The hotel is a MUST SEE, if even only for coctails.

The hotel is built into a many hotels are on the Amalfi Coast. This is part of the Relais and Chateaux group and is first class all the way. The rooms are beautiful (not huge though) and overlook the coast. The decor is lovely. The service wonderful, breakfast setting excellent, lobby beautiful. The outdoor areas are a destination unto themselves. When we arrived our room weren’t ready so they gave us drinks on the patio of the hotel which was a highlight on our arrival. I would usually prefer to stay at a hotel right in town (ie Postiano). However ..this was an oasis away from a crowded touristy town. They provide a shuttle service to town which worked well. There is a pool area which was nice and a small beach area which you take an elevator down to the area which was built into the cliff. I highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.
