Alchymist Nosticova Palace in Prague, Czech Republic

Hidden away on a quiet cobblestone street in the picturesque Mala Strana district, Alchymist Nosticova Palace celebrates the historic spirit of Prague. This 17th-century residence has been lovingly and masterfully restored by celebrated conservators of Czech churches and castles, as well as skilled ceramists and fresco painters. Intimacy is a hallmark, with just 15 rooms and suites, each enchantingly furnished with antiques. Alchymist Club Restaurant takes a playful approach to cuisine, paying tribute to the city's alchemists of old. Be sure to also visit the spa treatment room for an intimate indulgence that will surely leave you pampered and perfected.

Consider the hotel your private home, surrounded by the best the city has to offer. You are just two minutes from the Charles Bridge, whose views at dusk reveal the city in an ethereal light, and whose nightly visitors include musicians, street performers and artists. Just completed our European tour. This hotel was one of our favorites. Lots of history, more like an upscale B&B than a traditional hotel. Staff was very attentive helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing with a great selection. We stayed in the Anna room on the top floor with amazing views of the castle. Loved the free water! Great location -- we walked everywhere! We even had a lovely anniversary gift waiting for us in our room. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for more of a high end 'boutiquey' experience a bit away from the noise but close enough to all the action.

Small, charming hotel, decorated in an elegant old style fashion. The room is spacious and comfortable and the bed provides a good night's sleep. It's located in a small and quiet street and yet it is close to main atractions such as Charles Bridge, Saint Nicholas Church, Petrin Hill and Praga Castle. However, what makes the difference is the service. The friendly and acommodating staff is always ready to help you in any way possible. Very good breakfast, fresh fruit and water bottles in the room every day also help making the experience more enjoyable.

i know pictures from the website can be deceiving, but somehow from people's reviews and descriptions i expected an old yet charming mansion. well it is not. it's a dated hotel, tackily decorated, sad bathroom, with cheap amenities. having said that, the room is spacey (although maybe that's the kind you get in prague within that price range), service is friendly (in a cold way) and the food is good (i couldnt get enough of the coffee). located in mala strana, 10mnts away to walk across the bridge over the old town square.

The main Hotel building shown with opulent lounge, lobby& garden courtyard for coffee & dinner is closed& SOLD.we were not informed & would have stayed at the Sister Hotel which was bigger& had excellent facilities, and beautiful areas to sit & receive shuttle service & free daily wine, not available on our stay, but clearly advertised. The staff at the Nosticova were friendly, professional& somewhat embarrassed at our disappointment. The place was clean, elegant & peaceful.Prague itself was wonderful.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They were very nice to our toddler. Beds very comfortable and location is the best in Prague. We also spent some time at the mandarin oriental around the corner. It was also very nice but we thought this hotel was more charming and authentic and a much better price.
