Closer to God

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

This is a semi-converted monetary (Three old monks still live on the premises) and has been renovated into a first class luxury hotel. First impressions are imported and the lobby / reception area let's you know you are in for something special. The staff is welcoming and eager to met or exceed your needs. In our two day visit, we were never disappointed. This was the first time we have stayed on the castle side of the river and we were please. I think all of the attractions we wanted to visit were much closer. Our room was very spacious with an abundance of closet space. It had the best shower of our three week tour. Do not miss the breakfast. It is a great way to start the day.

A wonderful 2 night stay at this top-notch 5 star hotel. Stylish, historic ex monastery, beautifully presented. Great location, near the the Castle & Charles bridge. Very attentive, friendly, courteous staff (front desk, door & restaurant). Amazing breakfast. 10/10.

Amazing getaway trip with Family

The service and staff is amazing here. Nice spacious and comfortable rooms. The gym is small but good enough with free weights and a few machines in basement. Nice spa and amenities. Great "abbey" bar with nice old school feel. Great morning breakfast. Perfect place for families with small kids. Walking distance to Charles bridge, Old Town and Castle! Tucked away and safe!

Great hotel, great location, only one small negative. But I’d stay here again.

This hotel was very clean and laid back. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Concierge Michael gave us some great ideas and set us up with a fantastic dinner reservation one evening. The room was well appointed and of good size. The heated floors were appreciated by my wife. We had a view of the castle area which helped! Drinks in the refractory were nice and the mood was really laid back and relaxing. My only negative that kept me from 5 stars is the breakfast. It is overpriced. Shame on me for not asking when it was added to my room charge at check in. The food at breakfast was average and it was near $70US per person. I have done $30-40 for nice breakfast at nice hotels. While still high, I get it. But this was more than should be expected and it really wasn’t anything better than average. Otherwise, the stay was superb. Great location for all we wanted to do.

Gorgeous Property in a Beautiful City

Gorgeous Property in an already beautiful city! The staff was very kind at check-in and helpful if I needed anything. The room itself was fantastic and I really enjoyed the layout and decor. I will definitely be back and so glad I got to enjoy this property!
