Reviews for Hilton Prague

Best service in Prague!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Great, huge, and lovely hotel, I especially wanted to thank Honza for his professionalism, Maria and Rebecca for their kindness, and also Ondrej for his help. Outstanding service from F&B and HSK! Very close to the center of the city. Will definitely come back again when visiting Prague!

Where to start. A massive monolith of a hotel, probably this is where it goes wrong. On arrival had to hunt for luggage which was piled at front entrance, eventually retrieved, Viking claimed would be placed in room. The room, comfortable enough, but a/c and heating, a wizz kids dream, not user friendly, takes a while for temp to change. Having stayed in five stars before, normally paper tissues and Face flannel, but no, had to request. The fridge requires a deposit, this duly done, but three attempts to gain access, substandard service. Asked Teresa at the reception desk, hours later Diana at the concierge, then hours later Michael on the housekeeper fone, finally released fridge to use at 21:00 we had requested at 16:00, but two weeks later they still hang onto my £137.00 deposit, shocking or is that usuery. As for breakfast, bottled orange, everything plastic, unfriendly welcomers at desk. Overall this is a hotel that has lost its way, they were catering for a large event which appeared to be the priority, guests appeared to be secondary. I have stayed previously in hotels where work was being done for an event, this was normally out with 08:00 till 17:00. The general staff appeared to attempt to do their best as the managers swanned about. I am a Hilton Honours member and this is the poorest I have come across. Have never raised concerns before with guest services, this time yes.

American-Sized Hotel in Central Prague

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I stayed at both local Hiltons on my trip to Prague, and it’s certainly difficult to choose a favorite, but this one most reminded me of the size and comfort I expect back home in the US (the on-site casino doesn’t help this assessment!). The hotel is unmistakably huge. - Location: Close to Florenc station and the highway cutting through downtown Prague. Within walking distance to Old Town, but it’s a ways by foot to access Charles Bridge and the castle. The area is much more car-centric than pedestrian-centric, and getting to/from the hotel on the sidewalks is sometimes complex. - Atmosphere: The lobby is open and atrium-style with rooms overlooking the atrium. Everything felt very fresh and welcoming, and I didn’t observe any cleanliness issues. - Amenities: There’s a great concierge team on hand, multiple restaurants (all of which are overpriced), a pool and spa, a fitness center, a casino, and some shops with basic conveniences (plus a jewelry store I believe). - Service: The whole crew at the Hilton Prague is dedicated to exceptional service. I had no problems throughout my two-night stay. Some of the staff standing in the atrium (away from the actual reception desk) exhibited some awkward interactions with me (perhaps not used to my outgoingness), but nothing negative. - Room: I requested and was given a room overlooking the interior of the property. The bed was comfy, and all touch surfaces were clean. Noise was not an issue; very soundproofed. - Value: While many attributes of the sibling Hilton in Old Town are superior to this one, I have to give it to this one for its unbeatable value for money. Rates are low for what’s on offer, even with inflated restaurant prices. Overall, I would happily return to the Hilton Prague on my next vacay. Thank you!

Great bar. Horrible lead bartender

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

What a great bar! Unfortunately, Sammi, the drink lead bartender, is quite the bully. His intimidating behaviour towards the staff makes the experience awkward and irritating. We witnessed him being aggressive, shouting, and being generally rude to the staff. However, despite Sammi's demeanour, the rest of the bar staff, especially the waiter from Brazil, are incredible. However, Sammi's behaviour definitely discourages a return visit.
