Reviews for Hotel Hoffmeister

Great hotel! BAD MANAGEMENT!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The hotel is really lovely, the rooms too, the staff are very friendly and the bar area is great, the hotel is nice and worth the stay for sure. The FIRST night we arrived however, after a ridiculously long flight and a lot of travelling we have wanted an early night but we haven't been able to get to sleep as there has been this massive party on over night right outside! I don't know who from the hotel thought this was a good idea but they obviously didn't think about their guests and as such the first night was really bad! Be wary as the hotel don't seem to mind you doing anything if you pay enough to have a ridiculously rubbish loud party!

Very very disappointed.from the website was looking forward to experiencing the Lovley old rooms ..but on arrival the night porter took us to a room across the street . We never got to stay on the hotel . But paid a lot money to look across at the hotel from across the street . And apart from breakfast were never in the hotel ..even thought they confirmed the booking they never said upfront we would be not be staying inthe hotel ..poor form..we did asked to be moved but were shown another room off the gardens .. would have cancelled the booking had we known ..BEWare

Heaven away from home

It is the third time that my husband and I stayed in this beautiful place. We stayed in the Dependance, just a few meters away from the main hotel. We had a beautiful room, our bathroom was built inside a rock. The whole staff was very friendly and helpful and efficient. Special thanks to Mrs. Nicoll who had a special surprise for my husband’s birthday ( a bottle Prosecco in the room ). The breakfast buffet was very good, a lot of choice, everything freshly prepared. In a very nice seating area. Special thanks to Mr. Robert who was very friendly and helpful, overseeing everything, helping everywhere. We will definitely come back. Kristine Vos

Comfortable and relaxing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

A nice and pleasant stay in an excellent location within walking distance of the big tourist attractions. Metro and tram stations are just down the road so it was easy to go anywhere we wanted. The room was well accommodated and clean. The staff was nice and very helpful with booking spa treatments and gave advice on the best guided tours in Prague. The breakfast buffet was good with a decent selection but nothing outstanding.

Our stay at the Hotel Hoffmeister (August 2007) was excellent in every respect. Joined by friends from Ireland, we spent four wonderful days. Our only regret was saving dining in the Hoffmeister restaurant until our last evening. The meal was brilliant! Absolutely beyond expectations and delicious. Our junior suite was beautifully decorated; the service was always good; the staff always helpful. We want to go back to Prague and we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else but the Hoffmeister there.

We found the Hotel Hoffmeister to be extremely good and attentive to our needs. Upon arrival we were welcomed and invited to relax in the comfortable bar while they registered us and offered to help plan our sightseeing adventures. We also enjoyed the stone bath and massage in the hotel. The restaurant food and service was remarkable and friendly. We were always welcomed with a smile and personal attention.

In October, we spent four wonderful nights at the Hoffmeister Hotel in Prague. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful. The hotel itself was a gem! Breakfast with a view of the courtyard and dinners combining local favorites with contemporary cuisine. The hotel was wonderfully located, walking distance from the Prague Castle, from the Charles Bridge, and from nearly all other tourist attractions of Prague. We can't wait until our next visit to Prague, and we would never consider staying anywhere but the Hoffmeister.
