the staff, the beautiful historic grounds and the exceptional meals are all reasons why this is our favorite getaway destination now. We have stayed there a couple of weeks ago and all I can tell you is that my wife and I fell in love with the place. Kuddos to Carmen for her outstanding attentiveness, customer service skills and friendliness! Carmen is the reason why we actually had dinner in the Castle restaurant the first time and the reason we returned the next night. We didn't have reservations and the restaurant had live music and people everywhere yet she didn't forget us and was able to "squeeze" us in for dinner. The food was out of this world and the setting didn't disappoint one bit. Carmen is a great asset to Castle Hill. We came as guests and left as friends of this establishment thanks to her. Kuddos to the chef for using local ingredients and turning every meal into magic. We will return ! btw: Make sure to take a dive in the outdoor pool at the spa while here. One of my favorite amenities here!!!

Not a place I would want to stay again. Looks nice from outside, but very disappointing. After reading about the place and looking at pictures, this looked like a bargain. Unfortunately not the case. Love the countryside however.

We had a fantastic 4 nights at the Castle. Built in 1905 it's old, creaky, full of beautiful wood wainscot, embosses stucco ceilings and old world craftsmanship. Dinner on premises was in a beautiful dining room with fire place and crystal chandeliers. We had 3 dinners there and all were spectacular with generous portions. Adjacent to the dining room was a library where you could enjoy snacks and an evening night cap in front of the wood fire. A short walk led us to the Spa where there was a very nice fitness center. After a good workout we went outside to the heated pool and super heated hot tub. Robes were provided and even the walkways were heated. If you read my other posts, you know the people on staff can make or break a vacation. The staff couldn't have been nicer and catered to you all day if you wanted. Carmen gave us a tour of the castle, helped with diner and took care of us in the library. Ask for Diane if you have dinner there and Carolina if you have breakfast. All three were standouts.

Nice unique place hidden on a hill overlooking Okema Mt. The castle has a very interesting history. Rooms are just beautiful and the staff are very welcoming and hospitable. Great restaurant for fine dining and close to a lot of small Vt. towns that have a lot to offer and to spend the day. Great for all Season that you love the best. The grounds are very well kept and their spa is worth looking into. A pleasant getaway and everyone is very accommodating!
